Would take a bit more from North though i.e. your first rounder. Fyfe is still just 22, he has near Judd-like value (not as decorated but he'll be a year younger than Judd was when he left). No way do Freo give him up for just Black and Swallow.

This deal is moot though - if Swallow is traded I'll eat my hat. When was the last time a club traded its captain voluntarily (i.e. not including Judd in 2007)?

Yeah, my view is the sooner we take the captaincy off the Bible thgumper and give it to Jack Ziebell, the better, but that's wildly off topic.

I hope that clubs haven't over-rated Cameron, as has the media and the general public. Cameron played in a poor team and therefore he wasn't given the oppositions full attention as you can let one or two players go in a poor team. It's been a different story in 2014 - Lot more work put into his game, and his form has been average.

It will be interesting to see how much teams give up for Cameron - I actually see him as being the number two forward ( a good one at that ). I guess that Freo would be my number one contender.

Exactly....so basically let Gibbs go...and then GWS gets two picks in the top 10 for Cameron. Burgoyne trade type. Melbourne are a chance to get that too with Frawley.
Frawley is a free agent, if he is going to leave Melbourne it isn't going to a club worse than us, if he even hears his name mentioned in a trade to GWS he'll just sign somewhere else.

Not really the case for mine. What is the case is how they structured up benefited him greatly. They pushed high, left him one on one and counter attacked with pace often leaving him with huge amounts of space to work in either to the front or behind. This year they structured up more conventionally and he has struggled finding that space, still I don't think them throwing him into defence is really helping.

Not to mention the eardrum situation.

The suggestion was if Frawley were to leave, Melbourne would be compensated with a 1st round pick.

They could then use that compensation pick + their normal draft pick in a trade.

Giants should just say "Sorry mate, you're a required player. Take your chances in the PSD but we've got the first pick so we'll take you again."
Unlikely that they'll have the first pick in the PSD at the end of 2015 when he comes out of contract. Possible given their recent form, but unlikely.

Not many clubs willing to give up what Giants need. With Judd, we hadthe what WCE needed. With Cameron, I doubt it. I don't think we will give up a Kennedy type player again. Back then we were desperate for some leadership. Although we are probably desperate for a KPF, GWS would want a Murphy/Gibbs/Kruezer and 1st round pick. It will be too rich for our blood.

I see the Bombers or Dees giving them a talents player and 1st round TBH.

Would probably result in 10 Victorian teams going 0-5-17, that's 0 wins, 5 losses and 17 nil all draws to get the number one PSD pick

Don't see why GWS would be interested in Carlisle, is an average player no better than what they already have in those positions.
Bloke would be their best defender? Go and revisit what he did first half of last year.

Carlisle + Pick 19 + Zaka for Cameron. Cameron + Daniher forward line.

Id happily give up kruezer in a package deal for cameron. Kruezer has done bugger all at carlton and is totally expendable. For instance, id give up Kruezer+Lucas+first draft pick for cameron
