You're getting cause and effect mixed up.

Jesse isn't causing us to have a 'bad' culture,
But...
The effect of us looking to improve how we do things means that Jesse is no longer suitable for our team.

The melters will run around today say that the club is inferring the first but I think its the second.

Sure if you disregard the past 25 years of mistakes, yeah this could be seen as a positive. Right now it looks to me just another fix of a massive **** up.

Be funny if GWS wins the premiership next year with Hogan :drunk:
Leon Cameron is the best in the business for getting the most out of 'talent'

If this was the first time this has happened I would be with you, right now it seems to suggest more of a Fremantle fault than a Hogan fault.
But the club has clearly identified his behaviour and presence around the team as a problem and they would know more then us ......so I am 100 percent backing the club

It's a massive **** up but the mistake was the trade in the first place.

Doubling down on one mistake by continuing this situation doesn't make sense to me.

He has one year left and is finally fit. We could delist him at the end of 2021 if nothing has improved, unless you think he is that bad a person that he would be a bad influence on the group. Even though everyone says he is a bit of a loner at the club.

If you don't support this decision go support gws......NO player is bigger then the club and Jesse is a flog always will be unfortunately
It’s crossing my mind - this is not the only decision they’ve made that has annoyed the shit out of me.

unfortunately, have already paid for next year, would have to change my dog’s name, get rid of my license plates etc

I hope Leon's coaching holds them back once again. But you never know.

New thread title sucks, especially if you were someone who never wanted him. My life as a supporter of this club is actually a lot less painful with him gone.
Struggling to come up with something appropriate, better?

I welcome ideas

Eye roll for them getting it right? Or did the media reports force our hand.
Eye roll for those reports being in any way relevant to the deal done between Freo and GWS. There was a list of 4 or 5 clubs interested in exploring a Hogan trade and he was contracted to play for us next year. I'm confident we will see that Freo made the most of that leverage.

If the performance clause is true (Ross did a bad job of pretending to not know whether it was true or not) then Jesse would have:

1) Got a two year extension on major cash
or
2) Rotted away in the WAFL

The club was clearly not going to pay him a pre-Freo type salary so he would have sat in the WAFL.

How would that have been for his mental health? That's why it would have been a mutually agreed move. Freo would have said, you're unlikely to get enough games up to get you're contract extension Jesse.

Keeping him would hurt more than getting rid of him. I mean, you are aware the club is kicking him out for obvious reasons right?

Have I been sleeping for two years? Last time I checked, Hogans been fairly meh on field and pathetic off field, yet everyone is crying like we've traded the nexy Buddy Franklin.

It's just there is always a Jesse problem with us, seasons of stuff ups and still no closer to a flag.
Supporters and members who fork out the bucks to keep the clubs head above water have every right to bitch and moan.

Regardless of doing the right now or not, if spending a top 10 super draft pick and change on a player we then push out for chips 2 years isn’t a reason to complain about your club then I don’t know what is
