AFLW 2024 - Round 10 - Chat, game threads, injury lists, team lineups and more.
Tomorrow is the last official day of my holidays, so no.
Biggest news here is the confirmation that Hombsch is indeed 4th on the KPD depth chart and that we don't plan on finding a way to play all 4. He's got a big battle ahead to get back to where he was a few years ago.
Spot on, but you never know he could be another silent injury. Will need to see if he plays for the Magpies. That would 100% confirm it.Biggest news here is the confirmation that Hombsch is indeed 4th on the KPD depth chart and that we don't plan on finding a way to play all 4. Even if (for who knows what reason) Howard isn't part of our R1 team, the logic here is completely wrong. No, the biggest news is that we seem to be rolling with only two recognised key defenders in Clurey and Jonas for the season. I know Howard is in the team but he's on the bench, which means he's probably going to drop out before R1.
Howard is a lock for round 1, hes likely only on the bench because he has played AFLX and jlt1.
Apparently he has put his hand up to be backup ruck but hasn't done any training this preseason (and probably last) there.I'd say if you're a key position player who's not currently under an injury and you're not starting in this game you're far from being a "lock" for round 1. Howard will probably play, but more for his versatility than anything. He's there if someone happens to go down at either end of the ground and as ruck back up.

I think a lot still rate Hombsch for what he did 2014-2015 but that is a long time ago now and his last 2 years have ben injury riddled and poor, clearly behind the others in my opinion unless he can recapture that 2014-2015 form.
I'm telling you all Todd Marshall and Sam Gray will both play round 1.
Crows to have 4 more on the bench in some strange new handicap system?
GWS in R4. So the game in which their talls annihilated us the air in the 4th quarter and we were powerless to stop it due to going in too short. Yeah that was fun, let's do that again. No, the biggest news is that we seem to be rolling with only two recognised key defenders in Clurey and Jonas for the season. I know Howard is in the team but he's on the bench, which means he's probably going to drop out before R1.
It's basically the setup we rolled with against GWS in R4 last year when everyone lost their minds about how we needed to play another tall, but I thought we played really well and if Ryder had played we would have won easily.
Apparently Richard Douglas more worthy of mention as an inclusion by the AFL website than Polec.
Port get the least detailed write up of any club, again.
Relax. Plenty gets written about the premiers. Until then there are much more pressing matters in the world than counting the lines written about AFL teams.
