4 year deal, smells like a first rounder to me.

Get it done. Umm. Who’s doing this for us now?

Can't begrudge him if he takes a 4 year deal that is offered. Footy is a business, so he has to do what is best for him. Always remember Gumbleton knocking back a long term deal on good money from Freo to be loyal to Essendon and ended up being desisted within a year or so.

My understanding is that we can trade him if Port come to the party, or he can enter the draft and put his conditions of 4 years plus the money as offered by Port. This obviously has the risk that he can be picked up by another club with an earlier draft pick.

My guess is that Port's second rounder, maybe next year to help get McGuane, would get the deal done.

I just think that we need to put a horses head in Kenny's bed.

Edit: It's Hinckley. So a greyhound head.

But I'm not with you manic. Im not soulfully begging for Joe Richards.
Give em' Johnny FN Noble.
Take another one for the team.

I know the covid one but I’m sure it was reported yesterday or today that he’s gone home again? Aka gone home for personal reasons.
Yeah, I've just read on here that he's seemingly walked out on the club...? Looked at the selections for this week & he's not named.

Things mustn't be very harmonious at the Crows if that's true, Laird criticising Rochelle, Rochelle dropped..

I guess we don't know what those personal reasons are.

I haven't heard them mention it on sen tonight. Or did they and I missed it?

Not sure either and tbh it’s his own personal business but it’s also twice that he’s hot footed it out of the country on two clubs.

Would think any club would proceed with caution when it comes to Keane because of this?

Maybe. Maybe not.

There could be a family tragedy & that's why he's gone home now.

McFarlane said on mid week tackle last night that Craig Kelly was working hard on a replacement for Wright yesterday

does Eyre have a future in defence?
I watched his draft video - he has talent.
He’s in that window (much like Moore, Grimes) where regular injury early in their career had stalled momentum.
I definitely think he’s worth persisting with, because as he builds confidence in his body his true potential will evolve.

Its a team game. I think we are better with him at half back.
He won the Copeland and All Australian playing wing. One of the reasons we won a premiership.

I do think we need another half back who has speed but is also an excellent, penetrating kick. Quaynor has been a major disappointment this year. Although it was good to see him run forward over the past couple of weeks.

Not guaranteed, no

But a club does not offer 4 years and then not select that player… or give up on them as quickly as the pies have when Richards has a quietish game

4 years is a decent commitment… and not a commitment to play him in the SANFL for the majority of 4 years
If you don’t perform it doesn’t matter how long the contract is. A club won’t be playing someone in the 1sts just because they offered him a 4 year contract.

Just like a player with a handful of games shouldn’t get too comfortable as there are always new recruits each year and those who improve and show more.

But they’ll keep giving you a go for 4 years… re-select, try in a new position… no getting cut at years end

Clubs don’t want to admit early on that they signed a dud

Everyone here forgotten Chris Mayne already?

The players signed to longer deals get ample opportunity

Something he possibly won’t get at the pies
