Condolences to his family, friends, and the Port Adelaide FC.

If it is who is being reported, I've had the pleasure of having a 20 minute conversation with him, and you will be hard pressed to find a more genuine, down to earth bloke anywhere. He was an incredible nice guy, and someone that will be sorely missed both on and off the field. Another, unfortunately common and reoccurring example of "only the good die young."

R.I.P

It also goes to show, that we may support different clubs, come form different backgrounds, hold different beliefs, but we are all tied together by the love of this game, and in devastating times like these, we can put aside our bias, and come together and show support to those who need it. I wish it were under different circumstances, but I feel proud to a part of this site, as I read through every page, and comment in this thread.

Beautiful post my friend. Pure class.

This is terrible news. Really sad for his family and the club.

Terrible news. A friend of one of my daughters died recently after falling off a balcony.

Condolences to the young man's family and friends.

This is news that is neither expected, nor well-received.

To echo the collective sentiment of the humane posters on this forum, I give my thoughts to the family of the player involved, and his teammates and friends and the PAFC. A terrible shame for such a young, promising player to have this befall him.

Having read this thread through, it is heartening to know that we are in good company when it counts.

A curt reminder to all that at the end of the day, it's just a game.

If it is as reported or as it seems - then - "RIP", but at such a young age and gone so suddenly it's a bit glib to assuming a contented 'peace'. So much yet to be achieved and a reminder too that 'potential' is an unfulfilled promise of days to come with no guarantees handed out to anyone.

Vale......

Just wish it wasn't such a horrible thing that I posted about. But thank you, none the less. I wanted to keep it respectful.

Always sad to hear of senseless deaths like this. That it's a footballer brings it home a bit closer for most of us on here, but it's no more or less tragic for that. Seems like what Camus would have considered an absurd way to die. No meaning to be found in it, just a tragic loss for family and friends, and for the wider football community.
