Didn't have a great day. Not sure why his team mates keep setting him up in contested marking situations. he's never likely to win one of those. Noble misreading that intercept marking opportunity probably summed up our day really.

Harvey pre-game said Crisp is playing back to allow Sidebottom more midfield time. At the same time he's also playing Noble on a wing.

While Crisp is great at half back and Noble has had a couple of ok games on a wing I think we have the mix wrong. If it's not going to be Sidebottom on a wing I prefer Crisp or even Quaynor in that role with Noble at half back.

Noble did not set the world on fire yesterday, did he? Most of his involvement in the game could be described as "was in possession of the ball for a brief second before he was towelled".

I too see Crisp & IQ as being very well suited to attacking roles but neither can be replaced by Noble which creates a selection problem.

Sidebottom has been a good player for us but can't do what Pendles can do in the midfield. Yesterday that was put on display for all to see.

He's too much of a defensive liability to play in the backline. He suits the wing.

Problem was when he was pushed up into the half-forward line. The Hawthorn half-backs ran off him

Blair was a fundamental role playing cog in a premiership team!

Noble I thought had one of his better games, but agree he should not be played or have been resigned. I’d play Murphy ahead of him, despite his lack of pace.

Maccafer was underrated, slow but underrated imo. Blair was quite a contributor in his prime…when the team was humming. Lockyer unlucky for certain.

I've been calling this guy out for month and keep getting chastise by those that know F all about the game - so yeah until he can improve his penetration in kicking, awareness & stop being FN gutless and go hard for the ball, he'll never make it.

I thought his first quarter and a half was actually very good, he did some nice things.
But the next couple of quarters was the complete opposite, he was terrible.

In a perfect world he would be in that 23-30 group of players that plays 5-10 games a year as cover. But right now with the shocking state of our list he is still probably required for next season as part of our 22.

Exactly. Our list doesnt allow us to have pressure on spots. Guys are being gifted games even after howlers.

Noble and madge fill holes that we have, they are on minimum chips. When you screw your salary cap, players like noble are best 22. He had a mare, for the most part he’s been serviceable. Obviously once our cap is right hopefully he’s fringe at best. But squads win flags, not best 22. Rarely do you have best 22 on the park

I haven't peeked at BF for ages and saw the hate for this bloke - honestly, I don't get it. Surely he's definitely in our best 22, one of the better disposers of the footy in our side, to me seems poised and has toe. What's not to like?
