If we assume that Narkle goes, and Constable goes, then yes I think we will hang on to him for that reason.

Clark debuted in 2019, same year as Rohan and Dahlhaus. 2020 Jenkins and Steven, 2021 Smith, Higgins, Cameron. All club debuts only obviously, other than Clark.

What's to say that at the end of the year Geelong don't add more experienced players?

We might add some experienced players. A few players will be leaving our list this off season. What does that have to do with us keeping a contracted player?

He's off his initial contract so is presumably on $200-300k or more per season. If he wants to leave you can let him walk and use the list spot and cap space to add someone who is more likely to play in 2022.

I don't think you need to keep him just because he is young or you need depth. Geelong have no problem adding depth to their list each year.

Perhaps but I don't think we will be short on list spots or cap space this year.

Would we bring in a player to play wing in the vfl? Maybe we add a wing but not this year. Timing is out. 2023 we'll be in the market probably and that's when Clark is OOC

Been named to play 10 times this year, not like he's entirely surplus to needs. Next year we'll be playing a list that is older again and we'll need fresh legs rising through the group. I think we'd be silly to let him go

This is the first time in years I havnt herd us been linked to any player this year. Where years gone pass we would of been mentioned. But this year I havnt herd 1 player

When I say players been linked to us... I mean media outlets naming players like Smith and Cameron was.... Which I haven't herd of any media outlets this year.. lol not a Facebook page run by a 15 year old school boy 🤣
What do you mean FB - more like BF 😂

Yeah, not gonna lie, what I saw from Narkle tonight was.... not good. There were several times it was his time to go where he just stood and watched.
been doing it for ages.... and this is precisely why id luv it to click for him - but it just doesnt and thus we get the "why drop Narkle" after everyone reads a stat line and says GFC are nuts to drop him.

Going forward ball in hand the speed, work rate and effort is there.... the other way its abysmal.

Needs both.

Don't think either Smith or Cameron were really seriously linked to us at any point until it really happened though right? Definitely not Smith. I remember being shocked when Cameron informed GWS

Wouldn’t be surprised to see him traded to us for Jarrod Brander. Both players get back to their home states and fill positions of need for both clubs, worth about the same value

Seriously what is the Eagles back and forward line then? And to alleviate that we should recruit a wing? Think before you post.
Well there’s the problem. West Coast is trying to turn Brander into something he’s not. Our forward line is chock full of talls and Kennedy is the only one retiring any time soon. Down back it’s only Hurn with retirement on the horizon.
