We were pushed for over half a game by probably the worst team since Fitzroy when they had lost 3 players early.

And weren't actually all that convincing the week before against the second bottom side.

We are winning, but aren't playing good footy.

Last 2 weeks were average but I almost expected that against ordinary opposition. We love a dogfight against shit clubs.

I'm not sure if it was undicplined, if you actually look closely moments before he bumped Da Goey actually opens up his hands and arms preparing to bend and smother, at this point the eagles player handballed so dagoey had to stand upright and brace. he didn't drive through with the hit, it's just dagoey is like a brick and he hit an 18 year old kid

I agree, except he didn't have to stand up and brace - needed to stay down through the inevitable contact.

... with the point of his shoulder going straight into the kids jaw.

I'm not saying it was intentional, but it was super sloppy and he needed to have more discipline.

I think it's all part of the bigger picture. Fly is more or less staggering our play during games in order to ease the load on the players. We play avery taxing brand of football and fly is right onto it

Just want to point out the media “Stoking the flames” as they always do when it comes to Collingwood and in particular JDG.

Whinging that Hewett was an “innocent 18 year old kid”. It does not matter that Hewett is 18 or 28, he takes the field same as every other player in the afl. The media don’t need to bring out the violins for Hewett just to build the case against JDG even more

Hes nowhere near dirty. He imposes himself physically and sometimes wimps get in the way

Agree with this. Was it not Cornes complaining that there should be more “physicality” put into Nick and loving what Sydney did off the ball?

Hewett had the ball on the approach and ran full pelt driving his legs as he dished it off very last second. Jordy does bump as the ball come out. Hewett goes to hand pass and Jordy turns and bumps very last minute probably to impact the disposal. On one angle he looks like he is bracing for contact and turning. Hits him in the chin.

Hire Carlton’s lawyer immediately.

Should get 3 weeks but with Carlton’s lawyer 2.
