One game clear of a team we absolutely murdered. It’s the Bears that worry me if we have to play up there. I have similar misgivings about playing Gold Coast up there in a month without Jordy and Rusty.

BT? Pav threw it out there on the coverage I watched. I just can’t see them sending him back out there with that type of damage in play.
“First Crack” all agreed it’s a 4 week penalty.
Sheed is just projecting that he was too much of a coward to stand up to De Goey after the incident. Claims he didn’t see the bump.. I was at the game and it was played on the screen. He saw it but didn’t do anything about because he and the west coast eagles players are spineless

Absolutely nailed him. It was late and he got the bloke flush in the head, with the point of his shoulder. Four weeks would be a good outcome.

An afl show. With David king, Montagna and Anthony Hudson.
It’s a comedy show on fox footy on Sunday night. It features fox footy’s biggest clown, sorry premier footy expert, David king and his offsider Leigh Montagna plus a host that tries to add some sensibility to it all. It’s where you to get to hear their opinions from the round just gone that they will then spend the rest of the week fluctuating on and then back away from completely 7 days later. A very lighthearted way to end the weekend, always good for a Sunday night laugh
The love for the dees was worth a good belly laugh last night. The dees were nothing short of putrid on Friday night. They have beaten nobody of note all year. And failed the 2 real tests they’ve had against port and lions. Yet apparently they are a good thing for the top 4

Most the contact to the body, Hewett like most AFL players these days doesn't try protect himself adding to it.
Height difference and as mentioned him (hewett) lowering slightly caused shoulder to head contact.
Due to AFL panic stations and DOC laws this will see at least 2 and up to 4.

If you are watching on slow motion it is late but not so during play, it was a mistake and they will out him for it but 4 wks is over the top.

You are right about intent matters. Luckily De Goey was assessed as careless.

Watching it again in real speed I still do not think the intent is there to do real damage and De Goey was already in motion to bump before Hewett had handballed another thing is I do not the Eagles players around it thought there was any real malice in the bump, that,s my view anyway.
Eagles players would come from everywhere if they thought really bad and you just do not see it,he made a mistake and he will surely pay a price but if Cripps can get off with far more intent then it is certainly double standards somewhere.
Murphy got knocked out 50 mtrs off the ball and now they are saying 4 weeks for something that happened in play, he should get a couple but 4 weeks, please that,s rubbish.

Yep - although it is expressed as 3+ so there is the possibility they could go higher - once it is at the tribunal they can go where they like. I reckon 3 is on the money.

The 3 weeks mentioned is based on the notion that this is the starting point (for penalty) for any action that gets sent directly to the MRO. The MRO may deem more or less, depending on arguments. One thing's for sure, this will be trial by media at its finest!

Cheap shot is Gaff on Brawshaw.
