AFLW 2024 - Round 10 - Chat, game threads, injury lists, team lineups and more.
Averages 14 touches. Never even registered a Brownlow vote in his career.
I wonder if in 10 years time and with the saints about to draft a young reiwoldt if he’ll be just as concerned.Great, let’s get it all changed then.
He seems to be the only one concerned about it.

True. Not sure how the AFL justifies it.Priority pick by another name
wrong for weeksGoing to be a sad day for the Saints fans unfortunately
Band one for 6 x 900kLol pick 8 what a joke.
Amateur league strikes again
The system is a joke but despite that I hoped under this shit system you got pick 8 you need more quality. Just don’t do a Clark coffield again Ffs!Band one for 6 x 900k
How is that a joke?
Lol pick 8 what a joke.
Amateur league strikes again
Christ. The rules are we don’t have access to Kako, Lombard and Ashcroft.
Everyone doesn’t have access and this known
Of course that dilutes the pool. But the AFL have two year in Row pulled a “value” out of their arse and given picks that aren’t justified.
This year it’s pushed pick for us back 4 times. 9, 10 and 16 twice.
So in affect our live picks are now worse.
it's not designated as pick 8, it's band 1 CompensationForgive me for the silly question here - but where did pick 8 come from?
I don't understand where the AFL get the compensation picks.
Is there a limit to this though?it's not designated as pick 8, it's band 1 Compensation
band 1 is directly after your 1st round pick
band 2 is the end of round 1
band 3 is directly after your 2nd round pick and so on
our 1st round pick is 7
band 1 compensation is pick 8
They were never really in the pool, debating that is a different matter altogether, as in whether the clubs should have a priority access to academy/father-son players in the first placebut cant see that taking 3+ players out of the pool has an effect?.......
Haha, I hadn't jumped in here for ages first post that popped up was your back and forth with that frothy hawker.Somebody owes me 50 bucks
Melbourne got pick 3 as compo when James Frawley joined Hawthorn and the Dees finished second last.Is there a limit to this though?
If Tigers as spooners had lost a player like Battle who let's face it solid and not an elite - would they really be getting pick 2 as compo?
Talking to a close relative of a white ex Freo player. Their most hated team - St Kilda.
r u ok?Lol pick 8 what a joke.
Amateur league strikes again
Not till i get my 50Lock this thread up, Hawks are happy we got battle for free, Saints are happy they got pick 8.
Everybody involved wins.
Cal Twomey reckons clubs will come thick and fast for the pick (8). A bidding war would make things interesting.
Personally, I think we could do a lot worse than to trade back and split the pick. Have pick 7 and then 3 more picks in the 12-30 type range.
In particular it looks like a great draft in that range for key position talent. Maybe even grab both the Whitlocks. Or one of them and Dodson.
