That's pretty reasonable.
Dunkley has to agree to it, which may be preferable to playing for North next year anyway
we weren't that much worse 2 years ago and he entertained us.
admittedly you could argue the fact we have no CEO and half the board is a positive tbh.

Id be ok to slide back given I think Sheezel and Cadman go before we get them.
There's mids I like mid-draft too (Ginbey, Hollands, Szybkowski) and other options like Jefferson, George & Keeler for other positions.

Lions shouldn’t have offered Dunkley a deal. It’s obvious he isn’t a priority…. Piss poor to be wasting everyone’s time.
No he's not. Ensuring we do our best to get in Ashcroft, Fletcher, Gunston and Dunkley is our priority. It was always going to be a process with lots of moving parts and negotiation. It's a very rare situation to be in but we are doing just as every other single club would be doing in a similar situation. And no one can dispute that with a straight face. Every single club in the same situation would be doing the same.

If it works, it works - there is still a heap of time to get it all done. If it doesn't, well that's football.

There's no use you throwing all the toys out of the cot because you didn't get offered exactly what you wanted day 1. Adult conversations are continuing.

You don’t think F1 and 21 for Dunkley 30 and 39 is worse than 15 and F1 for Dunkley, 30, 39 and F3. I mean they’re both taking the piss.
I haven’t been following all the media reports as I view most of this a click bait.

Anyone not attached can see where this trade is heading, everything before hand is posturing and just generating interest for the AFL.

You can continue with this "toys out of the cot" line all you like the reality is you have publicly decalred you want to get Dunkley submitted a woeful and disrespectful offer then traded away one of the main parts required to get it done and now don't have the capital to get it done. Your club has acted in bad faith towards us and Dunkley now.

Brisbane's determination to bring in pick 1, another top 20 pick, and a B&F without giving anything of significance up was pure fantasy and not the Dogs' responsiblity to bankroll.
I agree. But perhaps you should accept 21, 2023r1 for dunkley , 39. You can still maybe trade 21 for say 31 or 32, a 2023r2 and hope the team drops. Use 31 or 32 for lobb, or the 2023r2 for lobb. Freo can give 13, 2023r1,2023r2 for Jackson. Melbourne can use the 2023r2 for Grundy.

That's not on the table though.
Last reported offer is 21 & F1 for Dunkley, 30 & 39.

That's massive unders

Why would 39 be a part of it? A second rounder and a late future first is already unders without throwing in any sweeteners.

"hey we'll give you our future first rounder if you give us your B&F and upgrade our points for our draft kids, sounds fair right, why are you being so stubborn"
I agree not fair, a bit like Dangerfield to Geelong. Adelaide should have insisted on a future first as well, but that was used for Henderson from Carlton instead.
The problem is Brisbane won't likely drop with Dunkley added to the team, he helps both midfield and forward line.
Why does he want to leave, is it because of a party hard attitude from other players, or is bevo too intense, or money?

21 + F1 for Dunkley + 39 is a terrible deal. 21 + F1 shouldn’t be enough on it’s own.

Frankly, I don’t see how Brisbane has the capital unless they get more via player trades. Remembering that if they trade out their F1, the maximum points deficit they can carry into 2023 reduces.

If Dunkley really keen to move to Qld, he should seriously consider to the trade to Gold Coast, looking very unlikely a deal with the Lions gets done now.
Dunkley has been quite clear in his wish not to spend more than 2 hours on the Gateway on a Friday afternoon.

There is murmurs of essendon coming for Dunkley we have the picks to satisfy Dogs just a matter of convincing him to play for Essendon.
As much as he said he's looking at Queensland for 'lifestyle reasons' he did spend a reported $50k to $100k on his home fitness centre set-up.
He'd have to be open to a big money deal from a Vic club.
