WHY would Carlton need to send Chris Judd to have a chat with Josh and/or Connors?

Did Bolton/McKay/Craig/Silvagni all have something more important to do?

You need to stop kidding yourself. If Judd had to be sent it's because Carlton had already exhausted every other avenue for an appointment.

Juddy was meeting Josh Kelly while Wayne Carey was meeting Paul Kelly.

One would think that Kelly is departing GWS. My opinion is that his manager was feeding the media the line of ' he's all but re-signed' etc. to ease pressure on Josh throughout the Giants finals campaign and not cause ructions within the playing group during the finals. Do you think it's odd that you have to send a ring in, when your home grown AFL TOTC full back, who is actually in charge of the list, can't get a look in? Why do they have to resort to a directors relationship with a particular players manager?

Do you think it might be because your recruiting department has completely struck out and hit a brick wall?

1) It was a rumor that Judd met with Kelly, as far as I know it hasn't been confirmed
2) I am sure SOS would have no trouble organizing an interview with Paul Connors who would then send any relevant information to Josh Kelly.

Carlton since SOS arrived have recruited practically all of their trade targets with the exception of Tomlinson. They have also received their demands for Yarran, Henderson and Tuohy. Our recruiting department have not 'struck out', if they believe they are in for a shot with Kelly, rest assured they are on the ball and making whatever moves are necessary. If they feel that Kelly will not be coming to Carlton, they will be looking at the draft and identifying the best young talent.
