I do apologise professor your superior wit has got me.

I hope you have enough time to get back to lecturing at Bond University after your visit with your parole officer

On the radio it was reported Fevola and Judd were sitting in business class. I don't see it being a problem, he has the money to do it, so why not? If the club is paying for him to sit there, when the rest is in economy, then I don't think it's right.

I know there is talk about bad team unity, but it's only for a flight, not really a big deal IMO.

Where was Hutchy on this one...has to be the story of the year so far.

Im thinking Juddy would relish the four hours of relative peace and quiet on the plane...no autographs, no media requests, no inane footy banter from halfwits (the likes of which started this thread).

1. Frequently flier points go to the person the seat is booked for not the person who pays so this is wrong. I get frequently flyer oint when I travel for business.

I admit I was wrong about this.

2. Hmm entire Carlton football club is flying on the airplane so they decide to upgrade Judd away from his team mates. That doesn't make much business sense.

Kind of how Judd getting paid more sponsorship dollars than other Carlton players does'nt make much sense?

3. Possible but unlikely to be the only one suffering from this possible injury. At any rate the perception is that he is putting himself ahead of the rest of the team. That's not something I want in a captain.

To you it does. However you are not everyone. To me it doesn't.

4. Very unlikely Judd pays for it himself. It is an expense which the club can pay for. With tight salary caps it would be very stupid to let Judd pay for it.

The fact is it doesn't matter how likely or unlikely it might be, what matters is what is. If Judd has issues with economy, pays for it himself, is put there by the club to enable him to travel better, or whatever! the issue is one for those informed of the specifics, not one sitting on the sidelines casting aspersions from a position of ignorance.

If you're a Carlton player and you have a problem with it then you'd find out what the deal is and do something about it. If you don't then you don't. But if we have a problem with it then who bloody cares?

We are still waiting to hear exactly how this "came to light".

Perhaps it didn't come to light at all - perhaps kane249 fabricated it all for his own amusement! Strange how nobody seems to be coming forward to corroborate the story? Hmmmm?

His journey back to Perth began with a browsing of the Financial Review at the front end of the plane, while his coach and teammates were down the back flicking through various glossy magazines.

Not sure how its relevant. We obviously travel alot more, have alot more money. Why wouldnt we. Brisbane have travelled business class since Leigh Matthews first came to the club. Its alot different when every single other person sits in economy and only one man sits in first class by himself. Especially when that one man is the captain. If he distanced himself from the team any further he would be playing for the Melbourne Victory next week.

Ive always understood that the AFL pays for the plane tickets.

AH...at last!
A reporter who doesn't even confirm that he was on the same plane, followed up by somebody repeating that line on (Perth?) radio, followed up by Kane starting a thread on bigfooty!
Not a single credible witness in sight!

Now, surely somebody else out there was actually on the same flight; or allocated seats; or whatever. Lets hear from somebody who actually witnessed the separation of Judd and the rest; business and cattle; messiah and underlings!

On that, anyone read an article last week where Daniel Kerr was interviewed and he said he'd spoken to Judd about the game this week being a sell out? Judd's reply was something like "The Judd Man always pulls a crowd". WTH? "The Judd Man" - hmm, not a tosser at all...I noticed Aka made reference to it on TFS last night...had a bit of a laugh.
Yes i heard ackers reference, very amusing.

You asked how it came to light, not for a signed affidavit from someone on the plane.

It came to light in an article in todays HUN, and i assume was repeated on radio.

Anyway, its on the internet so it must be true :thumbsu:
