Okay, if it doesn't come today then i'll call up.

Edit: AHH, just called my Mum and told her to check the mail for me today because the letter should be coming and she's like "another letter from the Swans?" i'm like whattt? Anyways, it did come. OMGG win win win and then register on Thurs, then winnnn and then win again. OMG, getting so far ahead of myself.

I did too. I might just go for it and register, even though the chances of us getting are.. meh. I'll just put it in.

If we win on Friday, you have to register next Thursday regardless of whether we make the GF or not!

Costanza it's not Geelong fans giving up their allocation, it's approximately how many tickets we'll get allocated if we make the GF. Reason they're sending out the letters now is so that if we make the prelim, the registering can be done before we play the Cats. Dogs, Saints and Pies fans would be getting similar letters this week, as well as Cats and Hawks members.

11,500 doesn't seem like a lot but members of competing clubs are allocated GF tickets proportionately based on how many members each club has, we have one of the smallest membership bases in the league- thankfully the Crows and West Coast won't be involved this year!!

No standing in line like they had in 2005, they've also got internet registration as well as by phone. Better system IMO as back in 2005 I remember people were talking about lining up for queue tickets before the PF and missing our game against the Saints! I couldn't get out of work the day the queue tickets were given out, was only thanks to Jeffers that I got there!

If we make it, you could always find a Sydney-based member who's not going down to Melbourne and get them to give you their barcode if you're not a member...but it's pretty unlikely that we'll get there.

I'm staying in a hotel this week and can't get my mail. Can someone please explain if I need to pay anything next week or just register?

Also is there any difference in what has to be done for members with a GF Preference membership as opposed to a regular one?

Need to pay $5 a ticket non-refundable when you register. No difference between guaranteed GF ticket members and preference members excepting that guaranteed GF ticket members (apparently 5000 of them) are processed first, and are obviously guaranteed a seat.
