Conservatives issue with abortion is that they falsely believe its murder of children. I.e they believe it involves adults harming others. So thats not a good example of letting adults do what they want as long as it doesnt impact others. Because they believe it impacts others.

Conservatives attitude towards drugs would be a better example. Although the line is also grey here in regards to impacting other people.

If their criterion is the impact on others, why won’t they come to the party on unrestricted access to assault rifles, especially for those with a mental health or criminal record that indicates they are higher risk to the broader population.

Not quite exact, more the conservative in R v wade was more “this must be a state by state matter” ie the decision was federal overreach (in their view of how the constitution is supposed to work) of course it hasn’t stopped them from trying for a federal overreach to ban abortion in project 2025..

If that's the case then why are Republicans also openly going after trans adults? Why are they openly opposed to trans people in general? It's not like they're only opposed to gender affirming surgery for kids.

Seeds, first of all you are really bad at understanding politics.

People are sick of the status quo, they want a choice of something positive. Dems just running with "hey at least we aren't Trump" may be inspiring to you, but it isn't for the majority.
