I've done both plenty. I'm a good citizen i'm a family man i pay my taxes and this is a complete non-issue.

What does it matter having a peice of plastic to say you can drive, i mean i know the legal side and all but seriously there's that many dip**** drivers out there with licenses it aint funny. I view the ability to drive as being more important than having the legality to drive. I'm a bit of an anarchist in some way i guess.

There are other ramifications and liability when you take the wheel of a car. Driving without a licence renders any public liability insurance null and void - so if you happen to hit a kiddie and put him in a wheelchair for the next 60 years - there's no scope for financial compensation for a kid who has effectvely had his able bodied life ended.

Driving without a licence is irresponsible and thoroughly stupid.

For sure. I think they're as bad as each other. I've had speeding tickets, but I would never consider driving without a valid licence.

That's because you probably have a valid licence and it's not an issue.

Another thought, I drove unlicenced once when I hadn't paid my fees and it had expired. It wasn't like I had never got a licence, nor had I had it taken off me - i just hadn't got around to renewing yet. That could be the case with Karl too...?

Neither are anything other than misdemeaners at worst but the former has worst image connotations in a PC world in the context of spotrsmen and kids looking up to them.

its all about the skill and necessity of the player. chris judd could be found guilty of manslaughter on a suspended sentence and still turn out of the weagles every week. carlton know normals good, but unlike anwin he's also necessary. they'll play this down and keep him on.

Irresponsible yeah maybe but so what i'm irresponsible yet manage to get plenty done, stupid in your eyes ok whatever that's only an opinion, the rest is going off the deep end fair dinkum. I know what you're saying but really what's the chance? You hit someone - 1 in a million - you hit a kid - 5 times as unlikely - you render him paralysed - 20 more times as unlikely - it's all just sensationalised crapola. Chill pills dude take em.

Not quite true. In Victoria the TAC pays third party bodily injury premium through registration of cars and the TAC would fund the bodily injury to the kid in question.

Driving without a licence renders your comprehensive motor policy null and void which covers damage to your vehicle and third party property (but not people).

In any event if this kid doesn't have a licence it is against the law and can't be tolerated. We can all say oh what are we the Christian Morals board but what gives us the right to obey laws we like and think are acceptable and ignore the mionor stupid ones. The fact that he doesn't have a licence indicates to me he doesn't know the bloody road rules and his chances of being involved in an accident or hurting someone are significantly increased. They don't force us to have licences for no reason.

Did Norman come through the TAC cup? he was drafted from wangaratta rovers, so im not sure if he got all the guidance from the TAC the TAC cup players get...

He's playing some super footy at the moment though, id take him at Essendon

For what its worth I think any person caught driving without a license should be jailed. Any person caught with ANY alcohol in his system should be jailed for 20 years. A "blight" on society

20 years huh? Well im sure the jails will be full of footy players!

Can anyone tell me the penalty for doing this? If you are under the legal age? Is it a fine? imprisoment? Ineligible to get your liscence for a certain amount of time?

Would the penalty be the same in every state? (Im in WA)

Normally who cares.... but when its someone who was caught drugged up to the eye balls on ecstacy tablets and being told u are on your last chance at the club.... it kinda is a big deal. You think you'd be keeping your nose clean for a while.
