Just an opinion of a footy follower that doesn't watch alot og tigers games, but is pettifer soft? i might be wrong. i know he was early days.

why waste our time with posts like this. can't we just talk about football. on a brighter note it is good to see some pressure from coburg. Morton and Riewoldt were very good up forward and White and Tivendale were just as good in the middle. Cartledge dominated the ruck too which means that we do actually have some ruck depth. I thought Riewoldt played really smart football on the weekend. Positions himself and uses his body really well. Could have brought him in for Cleve Huges. Cleve did show some signs on Sunday and i think he's got plenty of developing to do to. Why is everyone bagging forwards - the truth is our mids were second to the ball all night - smashed in the clearances and inside 50's. Tuck was rubbish but should not be dropped. He was top 5 or 6 in the comp last year for clearances and was even better the year before so must be given a chance.

Bullshit. You make him kick 100 goals after training each night, then back him to kick 3 on the weekend. Now we're a tall down and Deledio will have to play forward. Short-sighted. Thought we were building a team.

agree with u 100%, pettifer is garbage and those of you that think he is good wake up to urselves, the only time he ever plays well is when the team is up and flying and even then his crap! he could never win a game of his own boot like browny can...
he is to soft his work rate is crap and his got no guts, i will never understand how he got into the leadership group....

well seeing as we're still a chance to make the finals, its actually about going in with the side that have the best chance to win you the game.
If we were in melbournes position, then keep the cleve-like players, but we're 1 and 1, and still in the 8...If White is gonna help us more in this game than Cleve then White it is.

Kicking goals at (or after) training is nothing to kicking them in a match. He might come good but with guys in Coburg kicking 6 and 7 he had to go for now.
We still have Schulz to use up forweard if needed - don't know wht everyone says Polak has to go forward.
I think we are being a bit too critical of Mcmahon. Although he didn't rack the ball up I think his ball use has been very good on both sides of the body. He needs to obviously run more and fit into the team more.
As for Pettifer I was dissapointed he wasn't dropped because he is in our leadership group and always goes missing when it gets tough. He has not been dropped since 2005 and to be honest I dont think his good games have been against weak opposition. He was crap against carlton and only bulked up his stats when the game was in our keeping. I thought a direct swap for mortan was sensible.
Hughes should of stayed in the team as it's no good for his confidence giving him 2 games. He needs more of a go and i think his forward line pressure is pretty good atm when it hits the gound.
Polak has to to be given a job this week on a collingwood forward and wallace needs to let joel bowden run more instead of sacrificing him on rocca or something.

Tell that to Dunstall. That's what he did. Tell Tiger Woods playing practice bunker shots is nothing to playing them in a tournament. Might as well not practice at all huh peej? I agree Schulz is a better forward option than Polak - not sure what position is best for Polak. He's too slow for FF/FB, or CHF/CHB. He's a luxury FP/relieving ruckman.

All i ask is for TW to give Morton or whovever the opportunities he has given this muppet, to prove once and for all how irrelevant his stats are. ie someone else in his position would have had 50 goals when we were crap, if they were half good.

I think our whole team could play a little tougher. We're ranked 14th for tackles (I know its only round 2). I know its stating the obvious but we need to put more pressure on the opposition when they've got the ball.

yeah, he took the back door route. ie i am toast next week, if not at the exit door for good, so i will just raise the elbow right here which means I wasnt dropped.
Then i can sit it out for a couple, while a couple of youngsters make mistakes, albeit what i have been doing for the last 5 years, and hope that the papers start BSing with the "tigers strengthened by the return of experienced on field leader"....

I think Kayne is one of the hardest players in the comp Im sure that a lot of other clubs would be chasing him ,he has a tackling style all of his own and his 2nd ,3rd and 4th efforts are amazing should be on more money and with him being a nice guy and all and a pretty boy that will do me go Kayne you f****kin legendfinallly someone thats not putting him down...thankyou!
