Shepp News Mon 17th Feb Steve King
YEA REMAINS COACHLESS
Just 61 days out from the start of the season, Kyabram and District Football League club Yea is still searching for a coach.
With last year's co-coaches Adrian Wilson and Damien Lord both moving on, the Southern Tigers' search for a replacement has so far proven fruitless.
"It's been disappointing," recently appointed president Adrian Evans said.
"We just haven't been able to get one."
The Tigers, who rejoined the KDFL in 2006 and finished fifth, after winning the final Central Goulburn league premiership, are leaving no stone unturned.
"We've put flyers across to Kinglake, Whittlesea and Healesville, and even up your way (Shepparton)," Evans said.
Reserves coach James Frankcombe has been taking training, and Evans hasn't ruled out asking the club stalwart to take the reins.
"If we don't get something soon we'll have a chat to him, but he'd rather do the seconds."
The Tiger open their 2007 season campaign against Avenel an April 14.

Re: Kyabram District FL

Xman, you did well in stating that the coaches brother has been reported a couple of times, but to say he was "suspended for life" is in fact incorrect.
The fact is that at this stage Football Victoria had decided not to renew his registration, and while unable not to play while being unregistered there is no set date on when they will renew his registration.

And yourself assuming it will run in the family means that you prob lead a shallow and sheltered life. The coah can play and plays with pride discipline. Maybe you need to get out a bit more to meet people in the outside world, not just the inter breeding family that he seems to come from......where it runs in the family!

P.S. If you did your home work you will know the boy can play and if allowed to will tear this comp to shreds

"not to renew his registration", ha!. maybe it you who has the sheltered life, start living in the real world! he has been prevented ("suspended") from playing the game indefinetely ("life"), with the option to appeal the decision.

As to replying to the rest of your comments, you obviously have no idea and hence i wont bother.

Re: Kyabram District FL

Any news on Lancaster lately, no clearences been submitted yet. Heard a word that a Picola player with a bit of experiance might be heading that way thanks to the coaches dad.

has been burning up the training track running the second best time trial behind jack smyth the other week, raining b&f at the club can't see why not worth money

I'd throw the hoarebag a six pack or two per game and if gets in the best 3 blokes raise that to a full slab..... :D
Anyhow he's gone as of tuesday and all the best to the mighty bucketarse himself!

Re: Kyabram District FL

anyone got any mail on a bloke named troy dowdell apparently played with tyntinder a couple of years ago.

Re: Kyabram District FL

Heard that Gavin Canute has signed with Girgarre, If true will be handy pick up. Gig also in talks with Peter Dyson, although been told he wants too much $300 a game.

Good KDL player but not worth anywhere near that coin. Good luck to him tho having a crack at doing something different. His bro should be a good replacement.

WTF? You are talking ********** Ice Prick. I don't know who Gavin Canute is but I can assure you no-one from Gig has spoken to me about footy. It's too far to travel up the highway for me and i'm not worth $300 a game - too old, although considering what they were paying some useless fat has-beens last year maybe I should ask for $600.

Who are Gavin Canute and Peter Dyson - never heard of them. Who do you play for Ice Pick?

Re: Kyabram District FL

Gav Canute worthy of about 2 kicks per game that is if he gets on the ground, wait a minute if he plays for Gig then he is certain for a whole game probably in the centre. Obviously their recruiting is going great out at roo land if they are talking to players struggling to make reserves at other clubs in the same league.

Isn't that what they based their recruiting on last year??

Its not a need to "appeal" the decision you goose, he is given the option of applying for registration, and has no need to sit in front of a hearing committee. And with the fact that a number of players who have been in the same situation now being granted re-registration, it def does not seem to be "suspended for life", as I'd think the chances of a fair few players being able to play again after being suspended for life would be near zero without court proceedings.

As for you not replying to the rest I guess you do know when to shut up..

Hope to play against you soon dckhead

Re: Kyabram District FL

Looks like the Mainland crew might be a little stronger this year with a couple of possible inclusions from the RAT, a couple of Principal Grippy's mates. I've seen them both on the track and can say they would both be starters from round one. Principal Grippy is likely to bring a chiefy clone back with him also, haven't seen him play yet but have heard he can do most things well apart from kick.

Re: Kyabram District FL

Was speaking to young Special K from Murch today at work.
He tells me that everymman and his dog are leaving Murch.
Himsefl to Tat.
McDonald - Mooroopna
Sanders -Ardmona
Kellet - Shepp Swans
Davies - to stay in melbs
Welsh Brothers - W.A
That's a fair slab of players to replace.

Subtle, what makes you think Ice Pick is a Lanky player? My guess is it's a former player from out there, not current.
