Doc that's twice in your last 2 posts that you have mentioned the cap & that you are happy with it & think it's a great move!!
I agree & think it's a great idea, but to be blatantly honest if you or any other KDFL supporter out there thinks that every club is following it to the letter of the law than you's are kidding yourself.....
The points system whether fair or not works on the basis that it's there in black & white for every club to see, it can't be jigged with & all clubs have hands tied following it's structure!!
The cap on the other hand is nothing short of a laughing stock! No one knows who's monitoring it, nobody knows who's spending what but EVERYONE knows there are some clubs out there already cheating the system to benefit themselves!! I already know 100% FACT (absolutely no rumour's here, all fact) that some clubs have already made under the table deals, side deals or sponsorship deals with player's they have recruited that won't or can't be monitored! I have personally been told of several of these deals & quite frankly am disgusted that clubs think it's within their rights to cheat the system to benefit their own needs.....
People think it's the players demanding big money that's killing country footy, well now it's the clubs themselves that are blatantly breaking the rules that are killing each other!
Unless clubs are to expose ALL player contract payments for every other club to see by Rd 1 then I see the salary cap as an absolute fluff by the governing body.....

Yeah surprisingly enough Doc even our premiership Year we would've made the budget! Linc Wellington & Tommy Sul were our only big paid players! The rest were either not getting paid (incentives only, petrol money) or on maybe $100 a game! I could name easy 12 players in that side that weren't getting a cent (& u'd be surprised at some of the name's).....
But as for this year, yeah I'd just say we've been unlucky on a few recruits, we've definitely tried & will continue to try but at this stage we're still probably 3-4 good players off reaching the cap.....
But that's footy mate, win some, lose some.....

Tall local boy that's come back, sitting at about 194 and moves very well. Still a kid tho, but should fit in well.

Sides who tag Emmett will restrict him well most times hangs far and wide but if you let him go he does damage. Will be in the oppositions planning far more than he was in the GV. Seen Lynch play a few games at Waaia gun. What type of player is Abley?
Creative small forward, lacked some touch last year at Benalla after being over seas for a year. Should be better for it this year, but wouldn't put him in the Sidebottom, horsburgh category.
