There's not any real world we can get both, it's at best one or the other and that's amazing enough by itself.

The club simply doesnt trade people out that want to be here and even if they did, you get cents on the dollar on those trades. Suppose if Brayshaw left we'd probably have the currency in cap and draft picks but I'd rather not think about that situation

I think you’ll struggle to find a buyer of Darcy’s contract. If he’s desperate to get back to Victoria and willing to take a length and pay cut there’d be a couple of teams interested I’d say.

No one is taking Darcy's contract unless you are planning on a Bowes type deal.

Geelong were keen years ago but they have moved on and drafted a lot of rucks since then and they wouldn't take his length of contract with his leg issues. We have been burnt by injured rucks too many times. I can't see an obvious buyer for him if freo were going to move him it had to be in free agency its too late now.

Had heard the same previously but doesn’t seem like a Geelong ruckman, seem to prefer the more mobile multi positional types. Would be very surprised if they handed over a 1R with their trade history, as you say would depend how much of the salary Freo are prepared to contribute. Part of the reason you’d trade him is to free up cap space.
