I think they are going to go pretty hard at getting rid of Bennell after this trade period.

Even still that would only give us 4 spots and back to 3 if we get hogan. I think someone else will have to be traded or possibly apeness delisted and moved to rookie list.

Then no spots on rookie list

Nyhuis got upgraded too.

Suspect we are only interested in the NGA boys as rookies purely based on how many list spots we have.

If nhyuis and Duman on main list there is 2 spots. What are we doing with all those mid round picks. Maybe 2 of them going to gws

Strnadica is gone if Lobb comes in leaving us with just Giro as a rookie.
Bennell, Apeness and Jones would be pretty to cut and re-rookie.

Hughes and Nyhuis despite being told they have spots for next may have not had their contracts announced for a reason too.

Ideally I’d enter the draft with four picks on top of Conca, Hogan and Lobb. Three to actually use on kids and another up our sleeve in case a bid comes but otherwise using on mature aged depth midfielder.

Oh yeah, no doubt. There’s a few who might well get their marching orders next week.

Out - Spurr, Johnson, pearce, Sheridan, Sutcliffe, grey, Neale (7 outs)

In - lobb, conca, Banfield (main list), carter.
Unless I’m missing something we have 3 spots for draft picks.

Medhat to rookie list to replace banfield.

Is Duman on main list now too?

1 spot in rookie list to replace strandica and 2 if giro is gone which I doubt.

Maybe move Hughes, Apeness or Bennell to rookie list.

If Noble opens up to trading futures do you think Brisbane would swap pick 5 and future first for pick 11 Neale and some change later in the draft?

I’d do that, and bank on improvement next year.

I'd like him to stay, but if he goes, he's worth anything for all the right reasons. If he goes it's amazing to think how loaded up we'll be in the super draft.
We generally, bar a few exceptions, blow at drafts so not really too much to get excited about with a super draft

Yeah I have a hard time believing we would get to this stage and be nuffy enough to only offer pick 5.

Noble will pony up but it won't be both our firsts. Not without another one coming back anyway.
Still dont want him to go. There is something wrong about our best and fairest, even with a perth partner wanting out. Hopefully bell will get it sorted. For our sakes

I still think Neale + Future 2nd for 5 and future first is about right but I feel with the events of the past few days if it was that simple it probably would've already been done.

If we were a mid range team sure.

No chance we're betting withwthe risk of losing two top 5 picks

I don’t think it is in our interests to stack good picks for next year. We are rebuilding now and need to spend the picks now.

For those who want Brisbane to trade 5 for 8 and 16 and then pass it on to us the questions is why?

We already said 5 was not enough. If we got 5 plus interest we can still do the 8 and 16 trade ourselves. Besides if Port didn’t trade 10 and 11 for 6 what makes you think that Adelaide will do 8 and 16. Just don’t see it as a realistic trade
