Lets be honest and not stick our heads in the sand here. He doesn't want to be there most likely because of Lyon. Freo is gonna be bottom 4 next year regardless of Neale or not. Get a top 4 pick, pick the King brothers and make the best out of a bad situation. We have had to do that numerous times. When a player doesn't want to be there, it is very obvious.

It is not obvious he wants to leave. He's had a massive offer from Brisbane and that offer gives him four more years of security compared to the one extra year on. He loves everything about Freo and has family in Perth. I use to work with his aunty who said the entire Neale clan love Lachie at Freo because it allows his family to come over and catch up with both Lachie and the extended family. No chance he wants to leave, but he would be crazy to not explore an option that guarantees his future to the extent the Brisbane offer would. If in the unlikely event he does want to leave you can expect to pay more than one early pick at the trade table anyway.

Pick 4 is Massive overs for Neale especially when he's the one pushing the trade and could honestly care less if we get him I think we need to continue to build through the draft don't see Neale as a superstar and Mitchell a contracted player went for pick 14 a much better player than Neale

Would anyone really want to go to Adelaide after the reported problems there? Port probably couldn’t fit him in the cap and have too many players very similar to him.

He has already met our coaching staff, we have seen this game (as a Brisbane supporter) so many times that we know what this means. It is unfortunate, l wish it was a Melbourne team tbh. I also agree that it will be more than pick 4. I think it will be our 1st and 2nd round. We aren't going to offer next years 1st in addition because Neale just isn't worth that much.

We lack players in that age group due to the Go Home 5 exodus. Fits our current age demographic perfectly at only 25 and would free up Beams/Zorko to spend more time forward of the ball whilst also helping out our contested ball issues.

I think west coast would offer more than freo for Kelly. And he would be more attracted to us as a destination.

But if freo could bring Kelly in it would make it far easier to sell the Neale trade. Otherwise it’s got the rats on a sinking ship vibe.

Adelaide used to be one of the best run until we stole Noble and gave them Burton.

Tell me some of the names to have left Adelaide since 2010. For whatever reason, they seem to struggle a bit with their retention.

If we got 4 and 22 for Neale you could argue giving up 5 for Kelly.

You move 1 spot up. Gain pick 22 and move Neale out and put Kelly in.

But if we were to get Kelly he wouldn’t cost pick 5, so we could potentially do well on a total in’s and outs equation.
