We paid massive unders for Bobby hill and now because of that trade some posters will use that for every future trade to say we paid overs. That’s not how it works…

He finished 6th in the B&F

IQ finished 6th for us, if we were offered a 1st + 2nd for him, we’ll be crying unders

I’ll back the club to get it right. He reminds me of Brent daniels from gws who was cutting us up a bit in prelim until off for HIA. Like daniels I am hoping Sarge can spend some time in midfield

The worry would more be that trading next years first means we are out on any trades next year. Ben King is effectively gone, people talking about JUH, that's gone now. Unless we trade a high end player or are looking at unrestricted free agents, we won't be bringing anything in of note next off season.
Whilst i too would have liked to kept the F1.....i doubt we're brining in a top tier KPF via trade anyway.
There is so much value in the next tier down. So the top end are just too expensive to trade in (in my book).

We'll find a FA of some note that improves us and gives us value.
Or we'll bring in someone on the next tier and go from there.

Not going to stress about it.

Daniels is also a legit gun as well. Giants have a good small forward contingent too. Big fan of Bedford as well, dude has talent

Some very polite Freo supporters coming here to congratulate us - thank you.

To the Pies posters reminding us of what we did poorly up forward this year - we won the flag! Our forward line did exceptionally well, given all these apparent failings. Schultz is made for Flyball and the Collingwood way up forward. He’s the perfect addition.

People in fremantle are exceptionally polite. I rarely meet street dwellers or drunks who are less than courteous. The story here is that young Lachlan was a bit on the outer. A little too rough and mongrelish.... He scared the locals

And 5th in 2022.

I'm very bullish on Lachie and expect that he'll not only fill the gap that Tay left but exceed his contribution. He'll do more for us than he did at Freo. The return to Melbourne, and a new role within the Collingwood environment will set him up to smash through previous ceilings.

The only thing working against Schultz is that the world's biggest jinx ( pufferjacket-hating Kirby ) has already declared his recruitment a great success.

I'm hopeful but not confident on much further improvement.
Pies I50 were only 52.6 to Freo 50.2, so won't necessarily get heaps more chances (hopefully more threats = more scoring shots & more forward pressure helps lock it in for more I50. + more games from McStay).

But history hasn't been kind to Freo pressure forwards after year 5/6!

His scoring has followed a similar career trend to Mayne & Balla so far, but both dropped off Y7 on.
(Mayne's Coll years are 10-14... he had a 2nd place B&F and AA40 at Freo...)

Way to burst our bubble Gilbert! :)

That's a very interesting chart which omits Medhurst. I think Lachie is more Medders than he is Ballantyne. :)

In the not too distant past we recruited a pretty handy defender from Freo who took things to the next level once he crossed over: Clement.

De Goey finished tenth in ours by your logic he is worth less than Shoota.

I don’t think the value of Freo’s I50s were near ours

5min in is amusing. Dal Santo on bris “Let’s kick 1 more goal”. Sorry mate. We dominated the game. Just didnt convert. We get it, you hate Coll because you lost a flag. But we completely outplayed bris. Even after losing adams and mcstay. And then Murphy in the first

We do love recruiting players from Freo and turning them into fan fan-favourites. James Clement, Brodie Holland, Leigh Brown and Chris Tarrant were all fan-favourites and popular with Brown winning a premiership.
