Shouldn’t be tolerated by the mods.
Game day thread should be held to the same standard as all threads.
We are all at the game.
I haven’t posted in one (whilst at the game for years) and in general don’t even bother reading it.
It’s our version of free speech and giving people enough rope.
If something breaks the rules it is reported and acted upon by the wider Mod community if our team can’t.

It's great that he had a very impactful last 4 minutes and we won the game as a result. But let's not kid ourselves into now thinking he's had a good year, or even had a good game. Fact is, prior to the last 4 minutes, he missed two shots that you want your small forwards to nail more often than not, and dropped a chest mark in the goalsquare late with only mild contested pressure.

His misses against Sydney and Fremantle (which again you want your small forward to kick 9 times out of 10) both would have iced those games that we ended up losing, and as a result of losing them we will now almost certainly miss the finals.

I do hope he find more polish from here on, as if he does he would be a key part of our forwardline, but if he doesn't then I don't think he has a place.
Completely agree. If we ignore every single thing he does that good and concentrate on every mistake he makes then he’s a bust.

I'm much more forgiving of Howie's howlers than I am of JFN's. :)
Now that you brought up Noble - I stand behind my comments over the last year or so that he is miles ahead of a Markov. The offensive output he creates for the team - even in the last few weeks - is something that Markov has never ever been even close to doing. One of my greatest disappointments as a Collingwood supporter will forever be his omission from the 2023 Premiership team.

Aged like milk
Not really. Tradedradft's comment was correct - he was a liability at the point that TD wrote his opinion. Just because he kicked two good and important goals doesn't change TD's comments.

I need to add - that checkside goal he kicked, he misses 8 times out of 10, so we are so damn lucky that it was the 20% outcome... :)

Fair enough. Just annoys me when gutless fans abuse players online.

Shooter was brilliant last night. A genuine match winner.

It feels good to say that.

Markov was solid defensively last year and gave us a couple of line breaking dashes a game. He was the safer bet. The gap between jfns best and worst both within and between games is enormous.

By end of season Schultz will have finished with about 50 scoring shots and close to 80 tackles.

His goal-kicking accuracy could have been better but overall it has been a very solid first season at the club for a bloke who has had to move his whole life across the Country and find his place in a team that plays totally differently to his previous one and a supporter base that is very big, loud and impatient.

With his first season as a Pie under his belt, I think Schultz will be one to really step-up in 2025.

I think Noble's lack of size to compete adequately defensively was also a concern.

Markov has fallen off a cliff since, but agree at the time appeared the better defensive bet.

Agree. A huge weight lifted from his shoulders tonight. Hopefully he can start to enjoy playing footy for us, because the poor bloke hasn't looked like he has for most of this year. The pressure on him was insane.

He was never a liability. That was silly talk.

This is such a weird stance to take. We needed someone to win us the game and Lachie stood up, twice! It's the day after we iced Brisbane on the back of Schultz's efforts and your'e still trying to take him down on the back of previous games. Cheer up man

BS. I get frustrated by his misses but to suggest he is a liability is pathetic. He is dishing off handpasses under heat, shepherding. blocking and tackling-constantly putting his body on the line. He is the new piñata. Some are far more forgiving of other players as they just want to rip into Shooter because of a deal he had no role in creating.

Listen to his teammates. They don't blow wind up everyone's backside. They all love the way Shooter plays. Cox raved about him on channel nine this morning.

He’s been poor all year and was awful again today bar 5 minutes.
Criticism is totally justified. And here you are like the attention whore you are trying to start fights with people again.
Except none of the critics had any belief he could turn a game when the pressure was on.
So ALL your criticism about a failed trade now prove your ignorance.
