How does the scoring get calculated?

I reckon:

1. GWS
2. Geelong
3. Brisbane
4. Port
5. Sydney
6. Fremantle
7. Melbourne
8. Adelaide

9. Bulldogs
10. Gold Coast
11. Hawthorn
12. Carlton
13. Essendon
14. Collingwood
15. St Kilda
16. North Melbourne
17. West Coast
18. Richmond

Absolute log jam between 6 and 14. Throw a blanket over them.
Given the crows are in that bracket I'm going to ignore statistics and reality and just put us in the 8.

How does the scoring get calculated?
Every ladder position away from correct is 1 point. Lowest score wins.

Predict Brisbane to finish 1st, they finish 5th, that's 4 points.
Predict Collingwood to finish 2nd, they finish 2nd, 0 points.

Add up all teams, the fewer the points, the closer you were.

This year I return to the winner's podium. It's been a long time. Be afraid, be very afraid.

I have entered this competition 3 times. First time - Last. 2nd Time exact Middle. 3rd time won it all.

Do I just refuse to do it and go out a champ.. Nope... Here we go.

Using the famous 3 in 3 out rule that always happens.

3 out. Geelong, Swans, Hawks.
3 in. Collingwood, Crows, Dockers

1. Giants (premiership winner)
2. Lions
3. Bulldogs
4. Crows
5. Collingwood
6. Power
7. Dockers
8. Carlton

9. Hawks
10. Swans
11. Suns
12. Demons
13. North Melbourne
14. Cats
15. Bombers
16. Eagles
17. Tigers
18. Saints

This is very difficult with the competition for top 8 extremely tough, a number of clubs need to improve and not too many top 8 sides due to slide.

1 Brisbane
2 Giants
3 Geelong
4 Hawks
5 Swans
6 Freo
7 Carlton
8 Adelaide

9 Pies
10 Port
11 Bulldogs
12 Gold Coast
13 Essendon
14 Melbourne
15 Saints
16 West Coast
17 North
18 Richmond

We could easily miss the 8 again.

Edit Interesting I’ve done a ladder predictor and this is what I’ll use for the comp but want to keep my original up as comparison:

Brisbane
Sydney
Adelaide
Collingwood
Geel
Hawks
Freo
Carl

GWS
WB
Port
Suns
Ess
Saints
WCE
Melbourne
North
Richmond

Can’t believe I have us finishing this high

This is harder than selecting our last bench spot and sub. I intended to have us make the 8, but as I continued remembering the missing clubs, I just kept pushing us down. Top 3 and bottom 3 seem like locks but I reckon we can throw a blanket over the rest.

Lions
GWS
Sydney
Port
Demons
Freo
Dogs
Pies
Hawks
Crows
Carlton
Cats
Suns
Bombers
Saints
Roos
Tigers
Eagles

Going off the idea that three bottom 8 teams usually replace three top 8 teams:

1: Collingwood
2: Geelong
3: Brisbane
4: Hawthorn
5: Fremantle
6: Port Adelaide
7: Adelaide
8: Sydney

9: St Kilda
10: Carlton

5: Hawthorn
6: St Kilda
