Las Vegas Bears 19.10.124 defeated East Side Hawks 14.12.96

1772 posts for the week and 19 players posting again, 6 players adding 100+ posts was a terrific effort from the Bears again this week. Chipmunk was his usual floggish self and the big winner posting wise for the week, he does secretly like the Bears and was very thankful post match for letting him shower with us, he had a lot of fun. He was great to use as a scrunchie in the showers.
We really needed to get back on the winners list after last week going down to the Furies. CarterS and hilly come into the team for their first game this season and they really held their own, helping the Bears to record a comfortable win.
In conditions that favor the high scoring Bears team, we were once again of to a flyer with 7 goals in the first quarter and a 4 goal lead heading to the first break. Metalcrusher was on fire and before half time he had slammed on 5 goals of his own and with the Bears stamping their authority on this game, that was roughly the margin heading to the sheds at half time. Crusher with 9 this week now leads the goalkicking with 33 goals and a 4 goal lead over Filty. Test Tickle was marking everything down back and I Dont Care and Matera92 tackling everyone and everything that moved. U2tigers was dominating the ruck as usual before going down back to help out. The second half of the game was very even, going goal for goal, but the Hawks just could not breach the gap with the Bears going on to win by a comfortable 28pts. Western Stand Warrior was also in his usual dominating form, he's having another great season.
It was another all round good performance by the Bears this week and everyone enjoyed getting back on the winners list.
Keep up the fantastic work everybody, Las Vegas is truly a great place to be this season.

Dragons 16.14.110 defeated Bears 12.8.80

A slightly bigger week in the posting stats than the week before with the Dragons providing a formidable team of posters and some quality banter, not much, but there was some there on occasions. 5 players posting over 100 Metalcrusher Muddiemoose Millky95 Western Stand Warrior and guero and it seemed a couple dropped off with only 16 players in total posting this week.
After a good win v the Hawks last week we needed to keep the wins coming and our aim this week was to beat the Dragons, with an unchanged line up. The Bears started like a house on fire, with 12 shots on goal to 2 in the 1st quarter, if not for inaccurate kicking the Bears could have sewn this one up by quarter time, as it was they went to the first break with a healthy 30pt lead. Dragons started the 2nd quarter well and started to put some pressure back on to the Bears. Dragons had the better of the 2nd quarter and got themselves back in the game, kicking 4 goals to 2 but still trailing the Bears at the long break by just 14pts, game on. The Bears were cocky and sluggish in the 3rd term, seemingly not interested in getting the qooty, as the Dragons went on a rampage, kicking 6 goals to the Bears 2, to now leading by 14pts at the last break. The Dragons continued on their merry way, taking full control of this game and running out the game with a well deserved 30pt win, a great result for AceAndy and his team, at one stage in the 1st quarter the Dragons trailed by 36pts, that's a 66pt turn around, well done Dragons.
U2tigers had a blinder with 4 goals and was on top of Strigoi all day giving her a jolly good rucking lesson. Western Stand Warrior battled hard and tough again, while Matera92 picked up his usual big numbers on the outside, skirting the packs all day like a sheepdog. hilly only stat for the day was a mark, I'm not sure what he did with the qooty after that, he obviously didn't kick it or hand-pass it, maybe he marked it right on the siren.
