Seems like a slow news day story manureid , 99 times out of 100 these "an NFL exec believes" stories dont turn out. I cant remember one that did off the top of my head.
Would be a bit galling to end up with Wilson after enjoying his Broncos stay so much.

My two biggest concerns about Kliff Kingsbury is 1) he doesn't do much pre-snap motion and 2) he doesn't move his receivers around on the field.

Otherwise, there's a lot to like about him. Very good pass concepts and he uses a fair amount of run game for a guy who is thought of as a pure air it out schemer.

Definitely will need a mobile QB to run his offense, though Justin Fields is not a fit imo because he's not accurate on short routes. Caleb Williams thinks very highly of Kingsbury and I wouldn't be surprised if the Raiders do make a strong push to get the #1 pick. Colin Cowherd is dialled in with both Kingsbury and Williams, and he has reported on radio recently that Williams doesn't want to go to Chicago, which certainly adds a bit of spice to this draft season. Hard to go wrong with either Williams or Daniels if the Raiders can get in a position to draft one of those players.

Hue Jackson could also join the staff as a QB coach (or senior offensive assistant, more likely the former though). Would certainly mean that the Raiders would not be short of experience put around a first time head coach in AP.

We will never know the full story. Easy to say contract negotiations broke down. Literally minutes after that being reported it is reported he's off to Washington.

Wouldn't surprise me if Washington got in his ear as the Raiders were negotiating and that scuttled talks. Much easier for them to land a franchise QB too.

Candidates for the Raiders OC position are as follows:

Luke Getsy
Mike Sullivan
Eric Bienemy
Hue Jackson
Pep Hamilton
Chip Kelly

Still a fair few good names on this list.

Could be got scared by no decent qb on roster and I think this year going to be really hard to trade up for one teams aren’t going to want to drop too far.

Could have got the call Washington is trading up to #1 for Caleb too.

Next year not looking great for QBs either.

AP did say initially that he wanted to play run heavy offence. That's not Kingsbury.
Sounds more like Getsy. And means that AOC probably starts.
AP also spoke about 24 points a game.
Doesn't sound like Getsy. Unless that's on Fields.

Dont think Chewy was very keen on Getsy.

I'm trying to make sense of the hire because the basic analysis suggests he had 2 years in Chicago and was a bust. His tenure prior to getting hired in Chicago was very solid - many years in Green Bay covering the WRs, then being elevated to QB coach and pass game coordinator for two seasons before joining the Bears. Will have an obvious connection with Davante Adams as well.

Looking beyond the basic numbers, lets look at the EPA (expected points added) for the Bears' offense during Getsy's time in Chicago. For context I will also post the numbers of the Bears offense from the year prior to his arrival - this helps show context in terms of how much improved or worse they were relative to his predecessor.

2021:
Pass - 26
Rush - 23
Overall - 28

2022:
Pass - 30
Rush - 4
Overall - 23

2023:
Pass - 24
Rush - 8
Overall - 18

Chicago hasn't exactly been a beacon of offensive success these last two years. At the same time, they were starting from a low base, and were heavily hamstrung by Justin Fields - who imo is a really, REALLY bad QB!

I'm not going to suggest I'm an expert on Getsy's offense - and there are people whose opinions I value more than my own who will be putting theirs out in the coming days. But based on these numbers, it seems pretty clear that he knows how to establish a run game. When you consider what AP wants the team to look like, getting that run game down makes perfect sense. What I am confused about (and I've asked a respected film analyst this and will hear back in the next day or two), Getsy established his reputation for having a good passing attack scheme-wise whilst at Green Bay, yet in Chicago there were lots of people who criticised the Bears' passing scheme. Clearly it seems as though AP believes this was a problem of Fields rather than the play designs, themselves.

Fields to Raiders suring up surely

If anything it's the other way round. Very little to no chance he ends up in Vegas.

An interesting nugget I found:

When in Green Bay as pass game coordinator, Green Bay's pass attack was ranked #1 in EPA in 2020 and #2 in 2021. The year prior to Getsy being pass game coordinator in Green Bay they ranked 13th in EPA. And then the year after he left (season 2022) Green Bay ranked 17th.

there was a graphic going around X (formerly known as Twitter) Thursday morning. It ranked the current offensive play callers in the NFL, using advanced metrics. Truthfully, I’m not sure what data is used, but if you’re not a fan of Getsy — and we know many Bears fans aren’t right now — then it confirms what you already think. Getsy ranked 29th. The worst play caller after Week 15 is Atlanta Falcons coach Arthur Smith.
