Team Mgmt. Laverde, Langford or Fantasia

Since the OP, the one that has surprised me has been Fantasia. I thought he'd 'make it' but couldnt have hoped he'd come along so much as a small forward weapon. Laverde is still going to be a really good player. Langford does worry me, although it's not his fault he is being played as a mid instead of a forward. If he does make it, it will be as a medium leading forward for mine.

Goes to show how hard it is to predict which players will come on. We assume if they show some improvement then it will just continue but often it doesn't. Then others look like they don't have much then one day they just produce the goods and you're left sitting there thinking "where did that come from?".

Really hope Fantasia ends up being the worst.

Not because I don't like him, but he looks like he will be great. If great is the worst, can only dream of what the others would be like.

It will be interesting to see who out of Laverde & Langford is ahead early in 2017 after another pre-season & once we have players back. At this stage Fantasia is well ahead, and Laverde & Langford fairly even - the stats reflect this;-

Laverde has sprayed a fair few of his kicks, and generally hasn't had much impact on games
Langford seems poor below the knees when the ball is on the ground (like hes trying to pick up the soap)
Fantasia has the most impact on games for mine, but like most small forwards will show up big time one week and then be quiet for the next game

this is just to nitpick though, very happy with the development all 3 are showing

Laverde, Langford, Fantasia. Not convinced Orazio will make it. The other two certainly will if their bodies allow them.

I'll say:

1. Fantasia
2. Laverde
3. Langford

All three will be good IMO.

Fantasia is shaping up to be one of the best small forwards in the game this year.

Laverde to me looks to have the highest ceiling and with consistency this year, we'll see more of it. He's a dynamic all-round player.

Langford will probably be the first to move to the midfield as our tall bodied midfielder. Looks to be physically close to being ready.

I do have some doubt with Langford at times, but nothing that has me really worried at the moment. Really good up forward

I remember when this was created. Fantasia would have been my last choice. He's definitely on top of them though I still think in their prime the other two will be more influential.

Seems to get himself in the right spots and very composed around goal, has been a major improver. Also expecting a big year.

Was thinking of this thread just last night; it’s a blessing that of the three, one’s a genuine star, another’s on the rise and the third (Laverde) still has plenty of promise.

Langford has had limited opportunities to show his stuff. In his first couple of games he could've had a couple of goals which he shanked (I'll put it down to nerves, been told he's a reliable shot), and he got absolutely creamed by showing more courage than what his body could handle. I think he'll be a fine player long term but may take a couple of seasons.

Fantasia will be good and if he can build his tank I'd like him to be forward flank or wingman, he has the ability to be a real line breaker and he does have natural instincts as a forward. Given his size when he came over he's needed to serve a decent apprenticeship that some people don't have the patience for when in our position.

Laverde - the kids has it. It's just a matter of unlocking the true potential and he'll be one of our best. He's certainly shown glimpses of what he'll become.
