On that how is Reid? Is he running again yet???

He was training last week, can't see unless something happens why he wouldn't start

Hello Josh Fraser.

Josh has worked hard and has earned his 200th game. Great achievement. :thumbsu:

Wood while over the past month or two has looked better, he won't be selected as a secondary ruckman. Just doesn't look comfortable in that role. His chance to break back into our best 22 will come in 2011. Will need to work on what he does around the ground as well as put a greater focus on pushing forward and presenting a strong target as well as getting back into defence to save some goals.

It will most Likely be Fraser's Farwell Game as I have heard(Nothing Confirmed) That Wood has Re-Signed and be on the list next season:thumbsu:

Probably not far off the truth, as there have been rumours going around for a few weeks now that Wood has agreed in principle to a new contract, but won't sign till the season's over.

Interesting to note Haselby retired today also (effective once Freo's season is over), as he was taken a few picks after Josh in the same draft 11 years ago.

I think either way, if Jolly or Leeroy got injured/suspended in September, I would think Wood would be the better option, especially for Jolly.

This is actually good news.

Leeroy gets a week off, Fraser plays his 200th, we beat Hawthorn for Josh, Josh goes back to the VFL (if the VFL wins) and Leeroy comes back for the first final.

MM isn't stupid, Fraser will play, and no matter how well he plays, barring injuries to another forward or ruckman, Fraser will not play the first week of the finals.

Gratz Josh, 200 games.:thumbsu:
exactly what I was thinking, this suspension is perfect as Leroy gets a timely break. Just hope that as Axel said, he comes straight back in. It allows Josh to get some AFL game time so as to be better prepared as ruck depth for finals.

Also great for team (and supporter) morale that Josh gets his milestone - and it isn't a gift since he dominated last week from all reports.

Oh and importantly, makes banner writing job a lot easier this week.

We will miss his bustling manliness. Let's pray he can keep his dander up.

Anvil runs a dander export business....never short on dander.:D

Leigh Brown has been suspended for a week by the Match Review Panel.
Paves the way for Josh to finally play his 200th.
Disappointing for him if we bypass him for Cam Wood, or play Leon in the ruck, or even bring Damien Monkhurst out of retirement for the week.
Would be a hell of a ruck combo though.

Robert Walls would suggest we give Harry O a run in the ruck.

Leroy can rest his awesomeness for a week and have it primed to release in the 1st week of the finals.

Josh would be near cert to get a game. Couldn't have picked a better ruck duo to come up against. Renouf & Skipper.

Embarrassing that Brown and Hunt get rubbed out for their respective incidents.

Hunt deserved to go for a body slam. They are illegal every day of the week.

Brown could probably get off if he wanted, or at least downgraded to a reprimand by deeming the action negligent rather than reckless. But I doubt the club will contest it considering the have been keen to give as many VFL backups a run as possible.

Bet they want to rest Jolly and have Fraser and Brown do the ruck work

Sounds Like that as they would not Fight it then and also tell's me Fraser is Finshed at Collingwood

I think we are just "hedging" our bets here.

If Brown gets off, Jolly gets a rest, if Brown doesn't get off, Brown gets a rest.

Either way, I'd say Fraser plays his 200th this week.

I'd love to see Leeroy get off, but I really don't care either way.

Although if you are going purely on the Hawthorn matchups, I would prefer Leeroy to play, as they have no dominant rucks anyway, but they are a physical side.

We should have challenged it, I reckon he was "stiff" to get a week for that, and we have nothing to lose anyway.

Beat the system Leeroy, then beat the Hawks.:D

Good that Leigh is being treated as a true best 22 player.

I was worried letting him cop the ban for Josh to play would hurt his confidence. But the fact that the club is fighting to get him off shows him he's crucial to the side.

Love it.

I reckon Leeroy would have instigated this challenge.

It would have gone something like this;

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Leeroy comes storming into the Collingwood officials office (whoever looks after tribunal matters)

Leeroy: I'm not getting rubbed out for that shit, I didn't even hurt him.
Official: Settle down Leigh, I don't know whether you will get off or not
Leeroy: I don't care, I have nothing to lose, if I lose the challenge, I get a week anyway, let's challenge the bastards
Official: Ok Leigh, let's go see Mick.

The Official and Leigh walk down the corridor to Mick's office, then knock on the door until they are invited in(Mick's a bugger for protocol)

Leigh: Mick, I want to challenge this, I didn't even hit the bastard
Mick: Leigh, settle down, we will challenge it if you want, but don't you want a rest?
Leigh: No. **** no, sorry Mick, I know you don't like swearing, but I don't need a rest, I want to improve, I want to challenge myself.
Mick: Ok, let's challenge then.

Mick then turns to the Collingwood official and says;

Mick: Challenge it with all you have got, get him off.

And history was made.:D
