Fraser should get a game to bring him up to AFL speed, now that Leroy is out,but should only be used if there is an injury or suspension during the finals.What he lacks for a big man and is essential in finals is physical presence [read mongrel] and strength.All of Brown,Dawes,Cloke and Jolly have strength and one or two of them have a bit more "presence".Fraser does not and thats why he is not in our best 22.

I have been a fan of Josh for years and remember the days when he and Tarrant (albeit few) would dominate together and kick 7 or 8 between them. I remember seeing Josh in his first year play against the dogs at our first game at Etihad and remember beating them to go 5-0. I have stood up for him in arguments with mates for years.
All that said in the last couple of years he hasn't been able to give us an edge forward or in the ruck and obviously that's why we traded for Jolly. I think his body is about shot and his confidence may be too. Seeing him on the weekend against Gold Coast he played well but it was against smaller, younger opposition and from the outside it looked as if his wasn't very motivated. He may have been resigned to not gettinga game because of Leigh Brown.
He does however deserve to play this weekend and get his 200th. 1. He has the talent 2. He obviously fits the position opened up 3. We need to see if he can go against quality opposition still 4. Leigh Brown has a history of playing only a handful of good games in a row before dropping his form completely 5. We owe Josh this chance.
If Wood plays before him or if we play small I will be really P.O'd and it would have to be personal as to why he wouldn't have been picked. On what I saw last week I'd have McNamara ahead of Wood!
Anyway good luck Josh, tear it up and maybe take your spot back.
