How are the players not absolutely sick of hearing Hinkley do those speeches?
They probably are, they just don't know it. Most of them have never experienced the motivation that a new coach can bring. Even some of the blowins like Rioli and Aliir have never been at an AFL club for a coaching change.

Why is he the absolute outright face and human embodiment of our club now?

It’ll be compulsory to buy his manifesto shortly.
If your trying to get the young kids excited about your club why would you want the likes of Butters, Rozee, JHF or Aliir as the face of your club when you can have aging bald man who says 'youse' a lot

“Bacchus Marsh will farewell senior football coach Jason Williams after just one season after he received a coaching offer too good to turn down.”

“The Cobras announced on Friday that Williams had accepted a position with the Port Adelaide Football Club as a development coach for the 2024 season and beyond.”

Good pick up by you, that's interesting, he must be doing some good things to be noticed at that level.

Williams headed to the AFL | Melton & Moorabool

“The club has received this news with feelings of sadness at the loss of an exceptional coach, but also with an immense sense of pride that we have been a part of the progression of Jason’s career and pathway to the highest level in the land,” the club said on social media.

“The 2023 season has been one of great challenge and tremendous growth across our whole football program. Jason has reshaped the way our players think about themselves and their club.

I believe this is him :

Jason Williams has a diverse work experience, with their most recent roles including Head Coach AFL Indigenous Talent Programs at AFL - Australian Football League, Managing Director at Wombar Group, and Economic Broker at Kinaway-The Victorian Aboriginal Chamber of Commerce. Wow

We're shooting high and glad to see Kenny has the power to make us a destination club for staff as well as players.

Hartlett, Lobbe and now some no name from some country league. Just to add to Cornes, the guy from NSW nobody knows and Bassett. Powerful.

If you didn't know better you'd think we are being actively sabotaged from within.

That would have to be the least inspiring group ever collected at AFL level. Maybe the rumours are true, nobody actually wants to work with Ken apart from people who wouldn't get a job anywhere else.

I keep hearing that we are guaranteed a home final but if we beat Brisbane and Melbourne beat Collingwood and we subsequently meet Collingwood in the Preliminary final will that be played in Adelaide or Melbourne?

Adelaide. If they lose their home QF, they get to play a home SF, but lose their home ground advantage for the PF.

Yep Adelaide. Lose week 1 our second week game will be home followed by an away prelim, win week 1 the prelim is at home.

Nah, give Williams a chance.
We’re not a rich club in Perth or Victoria who can attract and pay big names. I think he sounds good. Not everything about our club is bad even though BF Port makes it seem that way.

God you are the perfect David Koch era fan. All the excuses.

Tell me what is not objectively shit about appointing some amatuer league dude to this role?

I am sure it was an exhaustive search and he isn't tied to Hinkley, the syndicate or a cult in any way. Absolutely the best most well credentialled option I am sure.
