Why does he need top be a very good player? You would be getting a 2nd rounder and a player who is worth a 2nd rounder.

The need comes in 2 years time when Lynch and Broad are either not producing or are done. Talls take longer than 2 years to develop. Add BW to your talls and id be very comfortable with the short to mid term depth while you find more in the draft.

You wouldnt need to waste a list spot on a depth ruck like Naismith either. Ryan + BW could comfortably get the job done if anything happened to Nank.

Only because we have plenty of not very good players already that can play that role if we want them to. If he has potential to be better than al of them, sure, but does he?

At full strength the forward line looks like Lynch Balta and lefau - none of the players suggested would replace them.

I am not arguing FWIW, I am just stating what it would take for a player to be considered valuable to us in the trade.

We do actually because our KPPS are absolutely fine and our midfield is probably worst in AFL history last year.

Richmond have the opposite problem. Midfield is fine, forward line in 2024 is probably worst in AFL history thanks to injuries

Man, Ryan Maric is a regular in your forward line this year. Based on that alone, I'd suggest you KPF stocks aren't overly healthy... Add to that Darling is cooked and Waterman is every chance to go back to being average after a bit of a purple patch.

Oscar Allen been injured as has Matt Flynn (who would put Bailey Williams forward) . We also just had Hutchison kick 5 goals in the WAFL this week for example as well.

Maric is depth not best 22.

Firstly, when would you expect to be at full strength? In a rebuild? 1 year? 2....3?

And secondly, thats not how the draft works even with top 10 picks.

DGB a pick 6 at the Hawks. Tom Barrass Eagles pick 43.

Lots of examoles of that. So considering the player potentially being traded there are no certainties for any draft pick or player becoming best 22.

Tigers will target developing players with their best years ahead of them who show potential. Not 30 year olds, understand that.
