Confirmed Liam Baker - Now a West Coast Eagle

Even when teams have chased a player there has been plenty of over pay trade, even trades and got them cheap trades.

Time will tell which one this will be.

As it stands, if the Eagles finish where they are.... Liam Baker for eagles 2nd rounder which is currently pick 23. Is that enough to get baker?

If Anything... It has been Ex tigers joining Richmond. Go look at the eagles 35 man squad in 1987. 7 of those players played VFL footy before joining the eagles in late 1986. 2 of them played for Richmond. Robert Wiley is one, John Annear is the other.

I cant recall many 1992 and 1994 premiership eagles going to richmond. Peter Matera nearly went to the demons at the end of 1997, Ironically to play in the big crowds at the MCG.

Then you had some of the Victorians in that 2006 premiership eagles side. Judd went to Carlton. Ashley Hansen, Adam Selwood, Michael Braun were Victorian too and never got traded back to Victoria All 3 played their entire career at west coast.

As far as the 2018 premiership players. Scott Lycett went to Port as a free agent. William Rioli went to Port too, But in a trade.

Again... No victorians joining Richmond

Richmond have taken players from other clubs and can from the eagles also

Prestia , Nankervis , Houli , Grigg , Lynch just in the last 10 years

With Richmond shedding the salary of the champs and will have a massive amount of cap space in the next decase
Richmond will go shopping and if we get burnt by teams im sure we will look very closely at their list and see if Richmond find 1 that suits our needs,

You would have to have your head in the sand if you think playing for a big melbourne club on the G wouldnt be appealing

Baker to W.C wont happen anyway IMO. Wrong age to spend good draft capital on in early stage of rebuild.
Baker is a Tiger or a Docker next year IMO. If he's a Docker it will be one of their first rounders, maybe a late one, but a first none the less

Just saying our club isn't some plastic feeder club you Vic's are used to taking players from .

Historically our interstate players end up staying
