Officially slightly annoyed.

Melbourne should get comp'd if he ends up at any other club, we put up and took all the bad press for him to walk out on us. Port were all too happy to try and jump on him when we had to cut him loose even though it was arguable if we wanted to.

Not sure if serious but suspect you are.

Calm down there Striker. This isn't about Melbourne.

Liam has a looooong way to go repairing his life. Football is a very minor concern.

Spare me, he played reserves games for Collingwood the year he was drafted. If anything you jumped on him after we found him.

You knew the risks (coming from a remote community) before you picked him up for basically nothing.

Honestly it's the best outcome of a very very shitty situation. Bad luck for us but to expect anything for it is silly. I just hope he can work out any issues he's having with his personal life and I hope this saga will put light on the serious problems that are taking place within remote indigenous communities. To see this guy return to the field at all for any club would be a great outcome and ending to a very trying story. However, if Jurrah was to request a return to Melbourne I would hope that both the AFL and other teams would understand the situation and wouldn't hinder that outcome if it came to that.

You want compensation because you're too weak to deal with the media and were not willing to stick by him?

GTFO

Actually the situation was the exact opposite of that even if the media might've left those details out recently, Melbourne stuck by Jurrah the whole way, he left Melbourne to be with his family. I'm actually fairly sure the club paid for both his bail and his defence.

It was quick
It's cool, I still find bad jokes from movies such as The Naked Gun hilarious.

Drebin: What are his chances Doc? ( After Nordberg had been shot multiple times & is in hospital)
Doctor: He's 50/50, although there's only a 5% chance of that.

I concede I made a mistake. Doesn't change the argument about the absurdity of requesting compensation.
Don't agree with compo either. Doubt he'll ever play again anyway.

Good to hear. Hopefully he can pull the rest of his shit together and get his life back on track, however he won't play another game for an AFL club.

People would've said the same thing about Krakouer
