At a guess having been witness to many Thomas performances it's probably related to the perceived cheating, sniping, acting, diving, ducking, faking injury, whinging, over celebrating, laying down, constant hands on hips, glory hunting, arm flapping at team mates, jumping into other players marking contests, leading into others leading space all while having the arrogance of Carey but the ability of Shane Clayton.
But agree, there's plenty of football reasons to dislike him without suggesting he's a flawed character away from football.

If ol Shane flew for 400 marks in the vicinity of the talls even he would've taken 3 marks over 200 games.
The difference being Shane would've been told not to do it after the 20th failure and opposition rebound, not encouraged to destroy the team structures year after year. If it wasn't so comical it'd be damn frustrating.

The coaches have always been scared to talk to him. He avoids them and they avoid him.
If anyone ever needed an honest conversation it's him. The coaches haven't helped the club or the player.
Brad Scott doesn't really coach for North, he coaches for contracts and keeping his senior players onside. His priorities and mothering end up burning the very players he's trying to protect and sign up.

Ah, you might want to check the North board and sook to your own mods.
The main board is usually for posters not locked into the delusion you clowns are under. But yea, calling him a flog is unnecessary but you get that on forums.
Perhaps you should follow badminton if it's all a bit much for you.
He's literally one of the worst players in the game and even ty vickery has to wear it alongside the big dollars.

Would much prefer to be rebuilding this list with a decent coach and less mature hacks.
The knifing of the senior players has exposed a very fragile and basically shithouse group of Gibson and Thomas and a vfl standard Swallow, Thompson, Hansen and brain fade Macmillan.
They've recruited a lot of small forwards in recent years and it's a shame they are so invested in gifting games to Thomas as he lets the team down week after week. It's become a complete charity and detrimental to getting experience into other players who may play in a premiership.
Club is wasting my money and time and it's annoying that there's not much more to football anymore than running up and down on the spot like most North posters have for years. Coach can't make a hard decision and is a liar. It's a recipe for failure.
Different discussion there but Thomas stats add up.

There often hasn't been a lot to replace him with through the curse of the small forwards at North. Times have changed where they've recruited so many potential replacements that some of them are fit and outperforming him but the stubborn coach has backed the club into a corner of delusion where selfishness and ineptitude are totally acceptable.
The spirit of the game/club and victory have always taken a backseat to Thomas' contract and gifting of games. He gets free reign in the forward line and it's always been about pumping up his stats when he becomes costly and ineffective for months on end.
The club is trapped having a cowardly contract based coach trying to keep the status quo so not to create an atmosphere of progress/change and possibly unsettle his own soiled seat at the table.
Scott couldn't care less if North won a flag as long as he's employed and it shows in his gutless mateship with senior players that ends up burning them in a big way and inevitably tarnishes their reputations with his ignorance and selfishness.
If we played for participation awards and contract reasons Brad the master of lies and mediocrity is your man.
It's an indictment on the club and coach a player can play 200 games and never finish in the top 10 in a B&F. That must be a record. These are the types they are rebuilding with and it's heading towards another shitstorm like the surprise attack on the quality veterans.
The rot starts with Scott and gets played out through auto-selected frauds on game day to the embarrassment and waste of time and money for all involved. Going to be a long year.
