News Lions Board Spill - update: Board Dispute Resolved

Is it not a little suss that we saw so much action in so little time from Henry, with a demand for additional Questions for voting at the EGM that essentially went specifically against Williams and Power, with the jumper "steak knives" question also suddenly on the table even without us seeing the survey results, which were immediately passed by the Board (hmmm, 4-2 perhaps?)for the EGM (with exception for the token hair brained 80% scheme for spending), after it took 800 forms to be sent out originally with a month or more delay in process... And now within 24 hrs we have absolute silence from him? The postings on his site ceased immediately?

This was an absolute cyncial stooge. Political subterfuge from Johnson and co. They've created a fake "storm" of 70 facebookers, and that has been enough for the board to "vote" to change the motions for the EGM so that due to this new advocacy group, Power and Williams are now also motioned for dismissal.

They've brought disgraceful political by-play into this mess. This is no coincidence. What a bloody disgrace.

And Henry's disappearance and silence on his website merely confirms this. Milner and Pinskier, two peas in a pod it seems.

How about we stop the dirty spin tactics and actually act in a manner that is 100% for the benefit of the club that Johnson and Co are meant to be serving.

70 or so Facebook friends. Pffff.

Seems absolutely imperative to me for people to take the trouble to go to the EGM..

Just get the feeling for it to be a success, there needs to be an overwhelming majority of members there.

Vote with your feet peeps...please.

We can't lose it now.

(wish I could tweet, I'd be tweeting loud to all and sundry!) SPREAD THE WORD.

I'd like to go along. I wonder if we'll have to rsvp or if it'll end up being a standing room only thing.

Our site is far more active than Lion's Roar which has all the vitality of a morgue. Restore The Lions' Pride will be very active in the next few weeks and in the lead-up to the AGM and after that into next year. If Lion's Roar is found out during this EGM process to be a tool for those incumbent directors (Power/Williams) my tip is that it will probably cease to exist shortly after.

And I'm very disappointed to here the membership won't be able to vote on our proposal to ensure our football club spend most of its resources on football. This shows that while the Board has been forced by members to have the EGM that we still have a long way to go before achieving any semblance of democracy within the Club. That has to change.

Okay, so now I know 4 things:
1. I want angus gone
2. I don't want raving lunies so Henrys out.
3. I want Lethal
4. Power has enough money himself to secure the clubs future.

So I guess I really know 5 things because I know which way I'm voting to.

How much money has Power ever given to the Brisbane Lions?

That's because it was a bullshit proposal.

I think in this case genuine grassroots will outlast astroturf...

I don't believe that you have ever been a passionate Lions supporter, your Facebook page has many photos not one of them has anyone in Lions colours or gear. Indeed under sports the only item is a poor copy of the current Lions head, not our beloved Lion.
You sir are a fraud, I don't know whose or what your agenda is, I only know that it doesn't coincide with any passionate, loyal, thinking, dedicated, long term, Lions fan.

Can we just get over this avatar problem? Your terrible grammar is making me look bad, Henry Pinskier.

And I'm very disappointed to here the membership won't be able to vote on our proposal to ensure our football club spend most of its resources on football.

I once said the wrong "their" on Twitter ... but I'll be damned if I make a mistake on BigFooty. Am I right, Haso?

You mean the laughably inflexible, restrictive and arbitrarily set spending benchmark which is so far off the mark from how football clubs operate that it would send our club to the wall in a month?

Have you even read the financial reports of successful clubs to see the approximate balance of spending? If you did, you will see how removed from reality your proposal is.

Democracy means that the decisions of governments and organisations reflect the majority wishes of the people. You seem to have have substituted the term "people" for "Henry Pinskier". There is a reason the constitution of the club requires a certain number of members to request a resolution be voted on. It is to stop individual crackpots proposing stupid ideas and wasting everyone's time and money.

To get a democratic result, you have to actually have to have ideas that people support. Instead of repeatedly howling at the moon on BigFooty, how about you actually get out there and see if people actually support your ideas? You aren't going to get people on board by making condescending comments and unfounded allegations.

The Lion's Roar were able to get over 800 signed and completed EGM requisition forms posted by members within a fortnight because they actually reflected what people wanted. And that was from a starting point of zero with no ill-gotten mailing lists or privacy breaches.

The lions roar has done more work on any of this than you have or likely ever will.

Without them none of this would have come to a head, Angus would be continuing on his merry way and you wouldn't be making a complete tool of yourself in public

And before you ask no I'm not part of the lions roar

I love currants and cucumbers.

What I don't get is why you want to restore Lime Sprite. It was an experimental flavour that the Coca-Cola company just didn't do enough market research on.

If Lion's Roar is found out during this EGM process to be a tool for those incumbent directors (Power/Williams) my tip is that it will probably cease to exist shortly after.

When you say "Lion's Roar" are you referring to what you believe to be a similar organisation to your own? That is to say, a solo operation?

Is that why you're asking if anybody is a member of TLR, because nobody is a member of Restore The Lime Sprite?

I KILL ME!
