I have no doubt if 2017 was played at Adelaide Oval the Crows would have won.

I don't believe so, we put the boot into every team we played during our three Grand Final wins. We were going to win no matter what, but this thread isn't about Richmond. It's about Brisbane and the fantastic footy they are playing right now!

Adelaide smashed Richmond at home that year. You may believe what you want, but they are the facts.

Who really knows. Adelaide may just been overcome by the occasion.
But the side with familiarity with the ground and not travelling does have a little more of their routine available to deal with that occasion.

MCG is almost certainly an advantage to Vic sides, and especially those who play there regularly (North or St Kilda, if either make a GF before the expansion of the sun, likely won't have that part of the advantage). The size of that advantage is hard to really tell.
Probably not huge, and arguably a little less than during the regular season due to the crowd being made up more of neutrals and corporates, but it has to be there.

Craig McRae recently admitted that there’s an umpiring advantage for Victorian sides at the MCG as well as the whole familiarity/psychological pressure statistically proven to be a significant advantage of playing at a home ground in front of a home crowd

There's an umpiring in the 2017 video on YouTube. Crows were destroyed by the umps.
E.g. Betts clearly held in the goal square just before half time.

That was in round 6, the Richmond you played then was not the same one in the finals. We really did lift when it mattered and our success the years after completely proved that, while Adelaide faded away.

Yep, apparently Levi Ashcroft was in the change rooms after the game and he would have been burning up inside, desperate to join his big bro and become a part of this amazing group

You can watch him on YT - he’s every bit as good as Will but more of a crafty goal kicker than…he’s going to hit the AFL like a torpedo next year!

The league has been warned…Ashcroft 2.0 is in the lab and almost ready to be released 😂

Sadly we are probably 50/50 on getting any of Hodge's kids if they end up being any good.
