Did McCarthy play further up ground last week? Looked really good with some extra space . Charlie 1 out in goal square opposition nightmares

Top four is probably wishful thinking at this stage, but today is a fantastic test both on our ability and maturity. The Dees will be red hot today and if we want to be top 8 or even press for the four, this is absolutely a must win.

Exciting stuff!

Yep, we must take care of business today to seriously contemplate a top 4 spot, win today and then the next 2 games away v the Giants and Power will decide our top 4 fate IMO.

Lose today and with those 2 tough away games coming up we are in serious danger of slipping out of the 8.

Vitally important we don’t “switch off” today. We have a National Free to Air audience and a chance to pretty much lock in finals. A good win today also sets us up to have a realistic shot at a top 4 finish. All this is at stake and all this from a team that hasn’t strung four quarters together yet. Imagine how good we will be when we ‘click.’ There has never been a better time for Rayner to repay the faith shown in him than today. We can expect Charlie Cameron to be double teamed and tagged all game, so Rayner needs to step up. Fingers crossed that McStay and Hipwood function today and can kick straight. Good luck to Berry and Bailey also as they return from injury.

Finishing sixth and a first up home final should be the minimum expectation for the remainder of the year IMO. Personally I’d love it if we could sneak into third or fourth so we get a straight up game in Melbourne in all likelihood and then a home game at the Gabba.

A lot of water to go under that bridge though and we just need to tick the box in front of us today and get the win; the rest will take care of itself.

Hoping for Cam Rayner to back up hid solid game last week with another impressive display.

Ohh shit. Just noticed channel 7 is in town. we always just nervous when we see Bruce before the game. This seriously changes things a bit for me because there will be lots of focus on "We need to perform well today" because it's one of our 3 FTA games. Just got nervous.

.....and a few home teams have been beaten too this round.

Sorry, still can't get that positive feeling going into a match. Just not used to it after 15yrs of crap.

...but keep playing like we have been and I'm sure it will come back.:)

I get that. Carlton game was a joy killer that bought back all the heart in mouth fear/excitement experiences. Bit like muscle memory so it’s easy to doubt.

Carlton will never be forgiven for this bump in our footy based enjoyment of our successes. They are where the deserve to be.

Come home to The Over 50’s Clique MacMum. We’ll make you a cup of tea and give you a foot massage. You’ll be ok.

I can't remember being this nervous on game day in a long time. The ramifications of these game are massive.

We've basically got an injury free list ,had a full 7 days to recover and are playing on our home turf against one of the bottom teams.

So if we don't win then there aren't any excuses.

Unless Fisher gets a gig . That's a 5 goal deficit to start
