Seems to be a bit more emphasis on playing your role for the team this week so hopefully that bodes well and it is all the Reville needs to do as well.

If he could spend an extended time in the Seniors I could see BReville becoming a Cult Hero very quickly.

Wouldn't it be fantastic if Bruce Reville had the sort of career our last 23 year old debutant had in Dayne Zorko.

Really love this decision.

So, team wise at this early point in time
In Reville - Out Ah Chee
In Big O - Out Fort
Most likely.

Would have liked to see Gardiner get the chop and maybe Reville playing forward/mid, Rayner more permanent forward as a third tall and give Jimmy a full game for AHChee.
Oscar in for Fort is a given.

Why do we want to send Rayner back to the forward line permanently after what he did in the first quarter against Melbourne? On that basis alone he deserves midfield time, because few others on the team are capable of that type of dominance.

Lions star Cam Rayner says unless he can rectify the mistakes he’s making as a half-forward, there’s little point arguing that he deserves more time in Brisbane’s midfield.

He is never going to make a full time mid so he will always spend time forward.
Why not in a role that he played well when required last year.

He was great against Melbourne but also reckon he was really good at the end of last year doing the more permanent third tall role. Reckon he is better either 75% in one role with just a pinch hit in the other. Seems to struggle more when its 50/50 and gets lost or confused more on what to do.

Seems like that is likely the only changes we will have. We dont tend to make more than that at a time.

Unless if we are going for another debut they want to give each one their moment in the sun and spread the news

Being a Sunday game, it could happen still.
Maybe Fagan will announce another debut.

Basically, one change (Big O best 22 anyhow) to a team that has been struggling is not enough i feel.
One more to come i recon just who?

To be fair they're the right changes. I'd have only gone with one more and that would be dropping Gardiner for Morris/Smith/Brain

Gardiner should just play in the backline like he always has .

The problem is, you can't drop Andrews, Lester or Payne on form.

Someone has to miss out and Dizzy is the one IMO.

He is currently not best 22 as a backman.
Which is why Fagan has pushed him up forward to what he perceives as a weekness.
But when it is not working???

I like Rayner as one of the guys around contested situations, his burst from stoppages has got game breaking potential.

I'd like him to attend more centre bounces and play as a contested mid for a high percentage of ball ups and throw ins in our forward 50, he will only improve with more exposure to them.

He has not got the endurance to be playing as a pure mid running up and down the ground for large portions of the game.

They are the right changes but I was pointing out it is really only one change from our best 23 that have struggled the last month or longer.

I would gamble a little and also play either Morris or Smith. Morris if you want a pure forward or Smith if you think Oscar may struggle a bit coming back from concussion against a very good ruck in Witt's.
I don't see a spot for Brain yet but great to see him playing well in the VFL.

I didn't say he should be a full time mid. I just don't think he should be a full time forward.
I am not saying he should be a full time forward.
But when in the forward line to play as third tall, other than that we have 4 smalls around Hippy and Joe

When he plays forward he can still play as a midfielder
Edit: sorry I thought I edited earlier but doing on phone not same as laptop
What I was getting at was when the ball is in our forward fifty he can play as a midfielder
What malice said
