I agree both Marokovic and Mulligan look unlikely to make it to the next level. But you never know. Both actually have attributes required for a swingman ruck option. Both seem to handle the ruck ok it's just their work as defenders that's the issue. It's a shame with Marko that he lacks a yard in pace, because he's such a good mark.

Certainly. Markovic lacks pace but he's a fairly good back. Maybe Faulks covered his weaknesses so that he looked better than what he was but he held down his role fairly well this year.

Looking at that list there's only really Markovic and Mulligan that are lucky to be on there and given their talls I don't really mind it

I have not heard anything about Patty Rose. I expected him to remain on the rookie list.

I also expect we would Rookie another Willi player, maybe Dane Rampe? Be interesting to see who they go for.

The only reason he wouldn't have been kept on is the club didn't think he was up to it.

Probably a good thing for both parties that he goes elsewhere as he can try his luck with a non aligned VFL team & he doesn't stifle the development of a young bulldog.

He was told prior to being rookied, that he had to be more than a forward pocket and needed to get his fitness to a level that allowed him to run in the midfield.

Although he managed that in pre-season he did not carry it through to Willi and only starting getting a kick when he reverted to the forward only role.

The club clearly decided that he was too limited for AFL.
