Would go nowhere near bruhn with our first or future first.

Let's see him do it against an AFL side first.

Hit the draft and try and move up the order with our second is the play for mine. Package up a senior player with our second to move into mid first round

There is some underrating of Tanner Bruhn going on in here.

He has struggled for consistent minutes over his season and a half of footy in a midfield containing Josh Kelly, Tom Green, Tim Taranto, Jacob Hopper, Stephen Coniglio and Callan Ward.

In that time he's still shown flashes of the class that was on show through his junior years, where he could win his own footy, use it well then push forward and kick goals.

Much like Will Brodie and George Hewett this season, sometimes a player just needs a change of scenery to better suit their ability.

The midfield is the weakest part of our list but it doesn't have to be.

Bruhn would add a lot to a future midfield of Newcombe, Ward, Butler and Macdonald in particular.

in saying that, I wouldn't expect us to part with our first round selection if we were keen on him.

Would I consider on-trading a pick to GWS that we could acquire from trading a Tom Mitchell/O'Meara/Wingard type? Absolutely. We'd be getting a first round midfielder with two years of development already under his belt.

On the topic of trading a future first, one very clever reason a club might do it is if they had a top ten talented father/son who nominated for the draft.

Sam said Worpel is an AFL quality player not playing AFL quality football, hence his time in the VFL. But I think Sam’s game plan does not suit Worpel.

Our 2019 Crimmins medalist may do well by finding a new home (and a more suited game plan). For me, Geelong seem the best fit. That said, watching Worps dominate clearances in the VFL shows he has the desire and tools to make it work at the Hawks.
Tom Mitchell is not suited to Sam Mitchels new game plan. But I think Tom is adapting really well.
Worps was very good in the VFL game in his getting the ball and kicking it. But he needs more peripheral vision.

Tanner for our first…would not even come close to my preferred 2nd in the upcoming draft.
But if Tanner wants to battle it out with our late picks …. He may become someone.

Keep
I’d argue that he could be our best centre clearance mid, and would be a welcome addition to Newk, Nash and Ward.

Waiting another 12months for a chance to nail a draft pick is conservative, but not without risk.

It all boils down to if Bruhn was interested. If he was, absolutely get the trade done.
Our 2023 first for Brahun. An keep our 2022 1st pick for the best available.

Swear to god if I see another “this player doesn’t suit our gameplan” I’ll scream.

You need inside players period. It doesn’t matter what game plan you’re doing.

If Jack Gunston was to exercise his Free Agency rights at the end of this year you would have to think Fergus Greenes name may have to be on the whiteboard for A potential Rookie list spot?

Hasn‘t put a foot wrong since getting onto Box Hills list and can run all day. And at only 24yrs of age fits the profile of what we’re needing (more players in that 24-26yr age group)

He’s a good VFL forward.

Hopefully Serong develops quickly if Gunston leaves. Otherwise I'd be interested in seeing Kosi play more of a third tall role, given how mobile and tenacious he is. Kind of like Roughy when he played up the ground.

I'd rather see Kosi play first tall than third tall. Third tall is a tough position and I just don't think he has the forward nous in him.

I know Jeka is 5cm taller than Gunston 197cm to 193. But he’s probably the best suited to CHF and the third tall role. Genuine forward nous that’s required and has all the tools and they’re all at a high level.

His main issue and work should be on consistently pushing himself, workrate and building a tank. But also getting strong enough to hold his own in one on ones. Lewis has done this superbly and Jeka should be looking at doing a similar thing to set up his talents.
