Even though Inglewood got beaten against Newbridge, a few people have said that they played the best they played all year, is that true?

Arguable, but we played pretty well, definitely weren't out of our depth, it was probably our best 4 quarter game this year, didn't get blown away in the second half like we have in the other games. A few blokes back this week and the rivalry game against Bridgey, I am keen as mustard for the game tomorrow!

Marong have a lot of work to do if they want to be taken seriously this year. In a game where we lead by 2 goals at 3/4 time and had kept Calivil to just 4 goals to that point, to be absolutely blown out of the water in the last quarter was disappointing to say the least.

Not going to be a good week on the track.

Your right about that! How can anybody take Marong seriously when the lost AGAIN and sit 6th on the ladder! Bit of a wake up call for some of the players.

all the talk continues to be about marong, how about newbridge? fair effort to be with pyramid for most of the game up there with 5-6 senior players out, including comer and their 2 ruckman...if the maroons win this week than the panthers will be cemented in the bottom 4!

I must admit that Newbridge have surprised me, and obviously put up a fair display against Pyramid. That said, they lost by 6 goals. While it's not a flogging, it's not exactly a close one. Their reserves got belted which might indicate a lack of depth which could be costly later in the season.

Marong have had the bye and are the only team to have played both Calivil and Pyramid so far. Far from looking to this as an excuse for being 6th on the ladder, but it probably shows that the positions from 2 to 6 won't be clear until after round 9.

Either way, Newbridge V Marong this week should be a good one.

see Bears result against Mitiamo on the weekend was interesting given a the pretty hotly debated subject of the Bears lack of fitness earlier this year.

1qtr - 4 goals all
2qtr - Miti 7 goals to Bears 3
3qtr - Bears 3 goals to Miti 2

drum roll......
Last qtr - Miti 10 goals to Bears 2.

So they waited until the last quarter to pull their digit out?? So they beat up on a clearly depleted Serpentine - congratulations! next step.. Hawian Ironman!

There doesn't seem to be any games this weekend in the snrs that might be a tight tussle, what do you reckon game of the round would be? Newbridge v Marong or possibly Calival v YCW.....

You're having a laugh about Calival & YCW being the match of the round aren't you? Newbridge & Marong should be a good game though!

calivil will pump ycw on what weve seen of them lately. newbridge v marong should be a great game, not only in seniors but in all 3 grades on the day look evenly matched going by this years resullts so far this year.

Have heard that elusive forward line player Juddy Hancock has left Heathcote and has signed up with Mitiamo. If this is true, then Mitiamo have picked themselves a handy senior player. With Hancock in the forward line along with Haythorpe and Chapman will cause a few headaches for some of the LVFL sides. Have also heard that a few more players from Heathcote are looking for new homes elsewhere...

i did see that there was a result from the inglewood u17s vs mitty game this weekend...

The sportingpulse website has 4 kids name from inglewood and only the mitty goal kickers and best players... Hopefully someone who was out at the game might be able to comment..
