FMD you are really special and conveniently dont mention coming off a knee injury AS CAPTAIN

And to show how stupid your comparison is in 2019 Tom Lynch kicked 63 goals in a premiership team where he was integral to Richmond winning the flag

Try again Bill

"The rest all had better years than LDU the year they signed their contracts"

Tom Lynch signed in 2018 after a 10 game, 20 goal year. Just man up and admit you're wrong.

lol - you can't put up random years that Lynch didn't sign a contract.

Im going to send you my location , Will make following easier

Tom Lynch was a captain a Gun KPF proven over many years

LDU is not fit to tie his shoe laces on what he has produced

But keep following ;)

The rules are changing from next season, i'm not having a go but if you were a fan of any other club, i'd look into it further but I can't imagine you actually know and you're basing it on feels rather than knowing otherwise. Then again, I could be wrong it has happen once or twice before.

edit - i'm not wrong https://www.afl.com.au/news/1202538...ould-stop-biggest-trade-ever/amp?webview=true
No. It's not possible to trade a F1 and F2 in the same draft unless they change the rules. Yes I'm aware that they are allowing future swaps 2 years in advance from next year. But that doesn't change the other rule.

But it's Collingwood "requesting"? And it will be more bums on seats and Bigger Bonus for the AFL executive making the decision.... And a chance of their biggest asset making finals.

Lock it in Larry!

Hawks and LDU currently flirting
Before his father passed he would take him to Hawks games, so he’s just another Ex-Hawk supporter that is a target for us.

With the new HQ being finalised in 2025, he’d be closer to his mother(on the peninsula) than ever before if he moved to Hawks, whom he apparently visits quite regularly, which might have him taking a decent look at a move.

It does seem like he’s locked in to the Roos though, as he wants to stay loyal. He’s likely just using Hawks to up his contract offer from North and/or we are just making sure North pay closer to market value on his contract.

If North start the season poorly again and he hasn’t already signed then this thread will be a watch.

All true. Every last word of it.

We were a family to him after his Dads death, surely that will be better for him than playing for the team (no offence here) that reminds him of his Dad.

You do 'need' him more though, with LDU, I could see you beating the Lions for the 2026 Preeemiership (just like using the Essington spelling where applicable).

Respectfully

You think Hawthorn need LDU more than North does?

Well if you want to win the flag, yes.

We are trying to move out of the bottom 2, so given we are chock full of early R1 mids, I say yes (not by much obviously).

We'll keep him at $1.2m. If you or the Saints want to pay him $1.6m, I'd hope we match and force an insane bounty out of ya.

If we finish bottom 3 we won't match IMO. We wouldn't get better in trade.

Correct

IF it was us

Your probably getting 12-18 (carltons pick) (before academy etc) and 16-18 next year (based on your GF predictions) and other significant sweeteners (2nds/3rds etc)

The top 5 pick would be better

Can see him staying. But no doubt Collingwood will have a big offer in front of him. Fits the strategy they have and is a need.
This makes sense.

Perfect fit for Collingwood who want to rebuild their midfield with Pendles, Sidebottom and Mitchell on their last legs. The big club and chance of team success will be a draw card.

North will get a super compo pick and fans will be happy with that, but losing LDU will set them back another couple of years in their never ending rebuild.

Critical for North that he re-commits to them.

No way North fans are happy with another compo pick. Theyve been down the bottom so long and need to start moving up, thats not gonna happen if they lose their best player.
LDU is worth more than a pick 3 which is the best that the compo pick will be anyway

Yeah no. This isn't a Ben McKay situation where he is clearly over paid. LDU is worth every penny and leader of a young midfield
