Could probably swap a few around, but I think for the most part it's accurate enough, and I guess how many of those are considered "major" but a lot of them cost at least 10m Euros.

Thought this was interesting.

This was Carra and GNev on MNF discussing how badly United have recruited since summer 2013. It would be really interesting to put that up against the rest of the teams in the PL to see how other teams have recruited in the same time frame. They removed stuff like 3rd GK signings or youngster who werent brought in as major signings or havent developed yet etc.

United here are going at a strike rate of green signings at 6%. Green and Amber signings at 27% and Red signings at 72%

Yikes. If 72% of all your major signings are shite. Then no wonder United are in a spot of bother.

Post up your own teams Green, Amber and Red signings since 2013. It would be interesting to see how it compares to other clubs over the same time period.
I'd move Cavani to Red and chuck Blind, Sancho and Varane into Amber. No complaints aside from that.

Yeah I thought about Varane in the amber. Agree with Blind, he was decent enough. Was Mata really red? I'd have thought maybe amber too.

But has Sancho done much to be in amber?

When you sign a player and then have a system in place that doesn't suit the player, is that the players fault?

No, but that doesn't really answer my question.
Sancho has played well plenty of times that I have seen him. Both in the stadium and on TV. He is best suited getting in behind the full back and having an overlapping right back to create space. Barely anyone in our team can pick him out with a pass behind and our right backs are shite.

Everyone wants Ronnie gone including Ronnie....except for ******* Joel Glazer. Apparently it's the recruitment teams fault though...

You need to work out a way to get the Glazers sanctioned by the Government, seems like your only way out.

Interesting to note too all the signings that landed in the Red for Liverpool were pre FSG. Since FSG and Edwards/Klopp arrived it's either been Green or Amber.

Any loanee that we didn't take up and then purchase isn't considered "major". Sarr and Gil from last season are left off as they are young and being loaned for development. All signings this season are ungraded.

How Neville & Carragher agreed to have Ronaldo & Maguire both in amber is incredible, English bias right there for you.

I mean end of the day, GNev and Carra are just fans too.

What would you change from the Liverpool, Arsenal or Spurs fan made lists?

Generally if blokes have just turned up I wouldn't put them straight into the Green category personally, I'd have them in Amber. Let them play a few seasons first. Guys who weren't good enough and you have sold go to red like Clyne/Klavan/Lolvren, etc.

People compiling these lists are going to be naturally biased about their players. It is not a criticism, it's human nature. Almost all the players in Cruyff's Amber list are dogshit and should be in red. Half of his Green should be in Amber. I'd move 5 of Art's Green list to Amber because they either aren't very good or have just turned up so it's too early to tell. I'd move most of his Amber to Red too.

This stuff is all subjective but in my mind Green = Good players. Amber = Not sure if good enough / Just arrived. Red = Dogshit/Requires upgrade/Sold.

didnt bother to include a lot of the cfg signings who are just bought for loaning out/selling at a profit purchases because they probably all just go in amber.

There's so much wrong with the club and I am sure fans on here will be able to speak more about it, but from the outside looking in, it looks absolutely horrific.

Recruitment has been shocking, McFred - as we all know - is an awful midfield duo. The defence isn't up to it. Ronaldo signing was a mistake.

There's no confidence, no belief. There's no unity, there's no fighting spirit.

The owners, the board etc are captaining a sinking ship and it seems to be taking more and more water on weekly at an alarming rate.

Spending a billion pounds hasn't worked. Club is obviously screaming out for a sporting director too.

Too many questions, and not nearly enough answers.
I would love to see Manchester United play FC United of Manchester in a Northern Premier League derby.

It's about as likely as Carlisle United winning the Premier League, but one can dream.:)

Especially when he puts Origi as green and Diaz/Konate who have played 5 mins as green.
All three are obviously green. Konate and Diaz are boss and Origi was with us for 7 years played 175 times for us and scored 41 goals including the sealer in the CL final.

I think your ratings are way off. I was thinking Green = home run. Amber = decent signing, good service. Red = shite, failed signing.

Hence Clyne, Klavan and Lovren all being in the Amber category before being moved on.
