I don't think he qualified as a cat B rookie after playing at pies. Think he is Cat AHe was contracted for 2025. So i am assuming hes plays out next year as CAT B Rookie still then into the Senior list for 26 27 and 28.

Not sure he'd stay for that pay packet. Unless the pay isn't tied to the position he uses up on the list.He was contracted for 2025. So i am assuming hes plays out next year as CAT B Rookie still then into the Senior list for 26 27 and 28.
He was already signed next year so another 2 years is ok. Thought we would have had to offer another 4 years instead of 2 to outbid Collingwood.Well played by Keane and his manager. Used Pies strong interest to extract three more years and no doubt at significantly more premium KPD money from 2025 not 2026 with the new contract over writing the old peanuts $ contract
We finally did the sensible thing rather than scrooging as we have in the past. We've got plenty of cap space and are sensibly using it
He's signed until 2028, so it's a 3-year extension. He was already signed next year so another 2 years is ok. Thought we would have had to offer another 4 years instead of 2 to outbid Collingwood.
Murray would make a better forward. Would like to see him in the forward line with Fog and Thilthorpe. Better than overspending on Petty. Then we just need to bring in another kpd for depth.Do we roll with Butts, Muzz and Keane down back and see what Worrell has up forward? Hopefully we at least trial it in the off-season.
a significant amount of depth in our big defenders then. Maybe they are not sure about Butts successfully coming back from his foot injuryDo we roll with Butts, Muzz and Keane down back and see what Worrell has up forward? Hopefully we at least trial it in the off-season.
Well Worrell did play forward in the champs during his draft year, we've just never tried him there:Murray would make a better forward. Would like to see him in the forward line with Fog and Thilthorpe. Better than overspending on Petty. Then we just need to bring in another kpd for depth.
N Murray also as a JnrWell Worrell did play forward in the champs during his draft year, we've just never tried him there:
"At the 2019 under-18 championships, Josh Worrell was Vic Metro’s leading goalkicker with hauls of four against Western Australia and three against South Australia."
Either way hes a Rookie and cant stay as a rookie past next season so will have to be upgraded to the senior listI don't think he qualified as a cat B rookie after playing at pies. Think he is Cat A
He signed for another 3. 2026 2027 and 2028He was already signed next year so another 2 years is ok. Thought we would have had to offer another 4 years instead of 2 to outbid Collingwood.
great news. does than mean Borlase is gone then if no official contract signed? we may have offered him one and then revoked it as we did last year for Doedee
ok thanks. sometimes hard to know whats fact and fiction. with Keane re-signing almost certain Borlase gone now though?I don't think we have ever offered him one. Was only ever reported on one news article.
wasn't it all from 5aa?The big problem is that many here were only too happy to believe the bullshit, despite all obvious evidence to the contrary.
Their intelligence just reflects the demographics of who listens and who is on the actual show,I swear half of those 5AA callers are set ups to generate controversy.
I tend to think of it as Murray, Worrell, and one of Butts or Keane depending on who is fit and in better form. Worrell is too valuable to our defence for me to want to throw him forward just so everybody gets a game.Do we roll with Butts, Muzz and Keane down back and see what Worrell has up forward? Hopefully we at least trial it in the off-season.
Does that move him to the main list.He signed for another 3. 2026 2027 and 2028
ok fair call re Nick. I had just read he had played forward as a Jnr but wasnt aware of how much. That said, with his high leaping and pack crashing abilities I wouldnt mind him being tried as a swingmanVery little but.
Confused with Toby?
Absolutely, also the way Keane reads the ball can be a very capable mark up forward.Well Worrell did play forward in the champs during his draft year, we've just never tried him there:
"At the 2019 under-18 championships, Josh Worrell was Vic Metro’s leading goalkicker with hauls of four against Western Australia and three against South Australia."
