and i'm sorry for you that you are an ignorant excuse making twirp !

and im sorry you had to post that twice to get your point across!!

btw are we in a competition to see how many emoticons we can use in a single post??

If so..    :p

Thats how you make me feel SR..

Now go away im watching the footy show..

Look, I'm not going cry foul on the Saint's access to early picks, but if we had Koschitzke, Riewoldt and Ball we would be flag favourites by so far right now you couldn't even name the side coming second. You can keep Goddard, though ;) .

Imagine, Koscitzke down at FF and Riewoldt back in CHF. We'd still have Moloney, too, as there'd be no room for Ottens.

I realise that this is all pie in the sky but it shows how having three (two in particular) first-up picks just transforms a team.

Could Bomber go down as the games greatest?

Quite possibly. The work he has done with this side since taking the over the reins from Gary Ayres at the end of 1999 has been nothing short of phenomonal. The attacking brand of football they play now is synonymous with premiership teams, and there's no doubting that they are good enough to go all the way! :)
No doubt.

Bomber Thompson is one of the greatest coaches of all time.

Try saying that with a straight face.

Gunnar longshanks really has a thing for Geelong, he has dragged up every Cats thread... he must have Skeppersap on his mind:p

He does that anytime one of his pet causes does something like silly, like lose to Richmond at their impenetrable fortress of a home ground.

Can't blame him for rubbing it in while his team is going well in a canter.

It has all gone bad since Laidley proclaimed that the Cats would win the flag.

That match was in round 2 and many people thought they were both pretty good sides at the time. However since then both sides have only won 1 match each.

God damn how some threads can return to haunt you. Thompsons job is well and truely on the line.

I dano that that is exactly 'coming back to bite him', fair comment to make, not like some fans proclaiming the flag already won, definately seemed to be capable of a flag at the start of the season to most of the footballing public

Hahahaha... St Kilda will have to look out for hoodoo laidley when they play them today.

However, its an open secret now that Geelong are GORNNNEEE!!! I heard lingy on the radio a few days ago and he sounded doown and out, even though it was a few rounds into the season. Geelong has lost all belief and its inside 50s quality are generally crap and don't go to a leading forward. 12 wins can get a team in the final 8, but at the rate geelong is going, a top 8 pick seems more likely.

It would be funny if Geelong is chasing Barry Brooks, Fergus Watts and Aaron Edwards at the season's end.:D

Interesting..... for such an opinionated person, Gunnar has made a complete ass of himself with this post. The next time this keyboard warrior pretends to know more than the average punter, be sure to link him straight back here.

**Sorry for digging up the past. Was thinking about making a similar thread of my own and a quick search uncovered this. Some interesting comments made just 2 years ago makes for great reading :)

Was ready to say what a silly bump. Then I saw the point was to prove Gunnar is a complete waste of time. I now fully support it. :thumbsu:

Gunnar has very strong opinions, and when they are wrong, he does tend to look a tad stupid. To be fair though, I still doubt you'd call Bomber one of the greatest ever.

The cats are a shoe in for this years flag, and in 18 months time they might be equal with the Brisbane Lions of 01-03. Then he would have to be considered as one of the greatest ever coaches. Geelong have lost something like 2 matches out of their past ~35. Incredible effort.
