Scandal Marlion Pickett - In Custody for multiple offences - Later bailed.

Pickett has been charged by WA Police with four counts of aggravated burglary, with three counts of stealing and three counts of criminal damage among his other charges.
The alleged offences took place between December 2022 and January 2023.
Pickett has a “strong intent” to defend himself, his manager Anthony Van Der Wielen told 7NEWS in a statement.

Not a totally unreasonable point, but the way it was framed is the way people usually bring up race in this context. Like you see on TV shows a lot to make a point, like "what do you mean YOU people?" Kind of thing. Anyway we are meant to steer clear of any such discussion in this thread so will leave it alone now.

And alot of people say what Aussie in exile says as a way to make it about race while maintaining plausible deniability. It's a dogwhistle.

What I actually find most intriguing ITT is why Richmond supporters in particular are going in so hard to bat for this guy (Marlion). I just don't get it, if a Blues player had done some bad things and potentially others off field, I certainly wouldn't be defending sorely because he or she wore the club colours.

As for me, well MRP is onfield and usually fairly innocuous so I'm probably as biased as the next flog, but if it was something particularly heinous I'd like to think I'd be scathing.
