Was a rumour about 1st AFL to come out.
Not relevant here, apparently.

Going off Mattys reasoning I just thought that maybe he told our welfare department then saw the rumors and told the ALFPA.

Obviously just speculation and I'm probably miles off.

Yeah I am is the same camp as those who are very disappointed at this and we'll I think it is quite soft really. Thought he could really step up.

So it has nothing to do with Bucks, our football department is at fault.
Scodog10 has been consistent in his criticism of our lack of player development and this is under the same umbrella IMO.
We've all heard Gubby is fixing things and your "from the ground up" comment gives further support to this.
Thanks Matt.

Footy Department been a Joke since 2012

Treloar, Aish, Howe, Varcoe, Greenwood, Adams, Wells, Mayne and our current players who have re-signed long contracts disagree. The only really good player to leave was Beams. Shaw wanted to stay, we ditched him.
The only thing that stinks is reactions of some of our supporters when ever something negative like Marsh leaving happens. Honestly, does anyone wonder why the rest of the AFL supporters think we're a bunch of dumb-arses?
FFS
The destination clubs in my view, would be those clubs that players come to for success, and not necessarily a long contract with a bigger pay packet. From my recollection, Howe took a haircut to come to us, but the rest probably didn't. Let's face it, it's a meat market, and we're cashed up. I guess that does make us a some sort of destination club.

And boy wasn't that haircut a doozy!

Oh its on a different forum so it must be true! Looks like their "source" was a thread from here which was quickly divvied when the OP did a hit-and-run, and their source? A club doctor who apparently divulged client information.

I linked ant22 post from their because the one on here got deleted. Now Marsh has in fact asked to be traded I would say it lends a bit of "weight" to his initial claim.

Seems to me it maybe a few things causing him to want home as the welfare thing has also been coming out of the club from a few people.

"......Otherwise we have to make the best of a bad situation, ask for a round 2 maybe accept a round 3? Who knows? Or even better get a key position backman of the same age or similar. Even if becomes a 3 way deal. Get another club involved.
Any ideas of key position players from eagles or dockers in the 19 to 22 age bracket that could be seen as a fair swap?
Or from other clubs? 3 way deal?

Finlayson & Stewart from GWS?...likely both reasonably getable, and both quite versatile

Sounds like a classic case of "the tail wagging the dog"

It's happened at our Club for too long.

I might regret posting this but WTF........I heard months ago that Gubby was shocked at some of our players behaviour at our Club.

I didn't ask for names by the way, so I am not suggesting Marsh is one of them.

I have shared this information with certain posters so save the posts calling me a troll or asking for a source or saying it is bullshit.

Sorry I have great respect for you, left at home, but with professional footballers on excellent money and great prospects, at a time when this club is on its knees regarding playing personnel, I cannot accept your excuses for his leaving. This and other negative stuff is just relentlessly flung at us by life and circumstance, and today I have drawn a line in the stand.

Sounds true to me, what sort of behaviours?

Mixed emotions Pricey?
Very much so, nothing hurts more than seeing a player go on to play really well at another club. It wouldnt be so bad if we were a much better side or if we were GWS, but we cant afford to lose best 22 players, him gone makes us a worse team.

Deep down i want him to do really well, but a part of me is angry at his decision, i was looking forward to watching him develop into the player i think he could become, and then laugh at the haters. In alot of ways, Marsh is one of my personal favorites.

they come to the club as mostly 18 year old, some will thrive and make friends quickly others will not. every one is different.
mature different at times .the club environment for some with out great friendship or mates near by would find it very tough.
even professional footballers who are at times are not immune to life's challenges.
l for one do not believe the club is on its knees, it has certainly has face and is facing some uncertainty but that does happen from time to time
l can understand why you are upset and want to draw a line in the sand, but if the kid has problems, real problems that way of thinking will not help
matters at all. yes you can force some tough love on kids but it does not always work. yes as they climb into the best 22 they get well payed for what they do. by all accounts he is very professional at the club. but may be it is not enough. and wants to, l dont know maybe, be happy as well.
its ok if you dont like what l have wrote in this post or the one before in giving him an excuse for leaving. l could be for l know completely wrong
but l will before any true evidence to the contrary hold this veiw.

Just got home from work and heard about Marshy :( he copped a lot of shit, but for a raw, late pick in the draft, we've grown him into a really promising player. Shattered we have to part ways.

Meh, he was always in such a panic whenever the ball came near him and he made poor decisions.

Losing Marsh is the same as Frost we are just losing depth.

The reality is if Marsh is in our best 22 then there is no way we are going to win a flag.

Got no reason to disagree. And got no reason to doubt Gubby's approach either. He's had a good track record of success.

There might be deeper issues here.
And there may not be.

Name our depth now minus Frost and Marsh?
