West Coasts prized new recruit has got of to a great start dominating the early season running for police trouble after the Perth Skyshow last night. A friend of mine saw him get arrested for fighting shortly after the fireworks.:p
Haven't heard it in the press yet but the propoganda they've been spewing about the wiggles lately would suggest they might try to keep it hush hush.

Er - welcome to 12 hours ago. There was a whole thread devoted to this on the main board this morning.

hahah serious ?

if so man their is something going on at WestCoast. Its like as if when a new player rocks up to the club. The westcosat officials sit him down and tell him do what ever you want of field but on field you must perform :D

maybe your officials should tell your players the same thing.

He wasnt arrested. Some blokes started a fight with Masten and friends, Masten threw a punch. The police seperated them, by driving both sides of the fight out of the foreshore area. No charges or anything.

In all honesty im much more worried about Wirrpanda career coming to a close then some drunken yobos picking fights

Yes he was Embers.

Eagles star recruit in foreshore incident

The West Coast Eagles’ star recruit in the national draft was allegedly involved in a nasty scuffle on the South Perth foreshore during yesterday’s Australia Day celebrations.

Police sources said former East Fremantle midfielder Chris Masten was issued with a move-on notice and told he would be charged with disorderly conduct by summons after he was involved in a fight about 8pm.

Masten allegedly punched a man who fell to the ground.

Police broke up the fight and handcuffed the young player before taking him to the South Perth mobile police compound. He was issued with a move-on notice and told he had to leave the foreshore area.

Masten was picked third in the national draft by West Coast in November.

West Coast spokesman Gary Stocks said the club had been made aware last night that Masten had been issued with a move-on notice. He said the club would speak to the rookie about the incident.

Slapping handcuffs = arrest does it? Id say taking one a to a police station would equal a arrest. How many arrested people are freed in the space of minutes.? As I said a non story.

They slapped handcuffs on him before "taking him to the South Perth mobile police compound".

He was arrested.

Caro about to send an article flushing through?

She has been in hiding since her failed North Melbourne campaign. She might get back on the horse with a slag Eagles culture article.

Who cares. He punched come bloke in the face and the police issued him with a move-on notice. Its not like everyone here hasnt been in a fight before.

Gold... typical WCE head in the sand. Your standards are so low at that club. Why can't you guys just say. "Silly kid, he is stupid and should pull his head in. What he did was wrong and should have walked away because that is what he is paid to do."
The money they get paid comes form sponsorship, the sponsors want them to behave appropriately, is that to hard to ask for truck loads of money for playing football?

It was for years by the club, The West Coast Australian Newspaper and the tv media until it got to a stage where it was so often and so serious the spin doctors at WCE couldn't keep it in any longer.

Gee whiz, thanks for the newsflash.

Live in the now mate, if theres a story there, you'll get your pound of flesh.

Im glad im not mates with you then. Mates stick up for mates and i would of done the same thing if some guy grabbed my mate by the throat but if you just walk away when your friend needs you then i guess i just need to respect that.

It's not about that Willow. He has responsibilities that us, non-footballers, dont have (doubly so because of our recent history).

Either he has to learn to walk away or not be in such situations in the first place.

Fair or not, this is what footballers must concede.
