Huge unit. Wouldn't have wanted to piss him off.Jim used to be a teacher at Direk Primary school back in the late 70s, early 80s. Every lunch time he would go out on the oval and kick the footy with the kids.

100% disposal efficiency 4 intercept marks 5 tackles and did an amazing defensive job. It's sad the AFL just give out the award to whoever gets the most stats... Poor Defenders always get ripped offPedlar and Michalanny both worthy but they will give it to Cam Mackenzie
And to think there's almost his exact clone style wise coming through this year's draft and looks similarly talented going on his debut for the Legs League team Friday night...put the name of 17 year old Logan Evans in your black book come draft time.
No current season stats available
Fair point. I always joked ruckmen were slow because it took longer for the blood to flow to their brain.100% disposal efficiency 4 intercept marks 5 tackles and did an amazing defensive job. Who was the captain of WB 5 years ago. Defender who could play tall or small? Was basically a brick wall in defense - the ball would come in and rebound straight back out.once max puts on a few kg and fills out, i see him as a tom stewart type. a doedee with more offensive /attacking tricks
Yeah, that’s him. The guy who captained their premiership!Easton Wood
And the very best part, there was a real grey area over whether his father Jim played the required number of games - 200 for Norwood during that window between the 1980's and 1990's under that old rule. There might have been some escort cup games there and it was touch and go whether he played 200 excluding those games which were not counted towards the required number. The port people were trying to highlight it so we couldn't get him. Luckily for us Jim had kids later in life as we might have landed a Ben Hart clone here in Max - fingers crossed. It’s our first one in nearly four years, please let us have it
Max is seriously impressive, his composure and decision making for someone right at the start of his career is absolutely elite. Brilliant on the weekend and have no doubt he will receive a nomination soon. Another one of the fantastic young players the AFC has

And Max has a younger footballing brother.........That’s brilliant, thank you for the information I only knew that this father played for Norwood based on Dwayne’s commentary haha, one thing he does know is his SA football history as you would expect.
I will be sure to read up some more I know you guys have been dudded a bit in relation to the SANFL father son rules.
Yes definitely, can see Ben Hart in him. The solid (well more than solid), dependable, higly skilled and composed defender. They are gems. I think Max has shown he is more than capable and very easy to see why he was in the team from Round 1.
yep..every cloud has a silver lining applied thereSydney bidding at #17 was actually perfect as it gave us a first rounder in the draft, which gives us more agency to trade out in future drafts, especially next year when we're likely to et Tyler Welsh
Yes indeed, the 2 in 4 year rule might have been a barrier if not for Sydney's bid, did us a very nice favour.Sydney bidding at #17 was actually perfect as it gave us a first rounder in the draft, which gives us more agency to trade out in future drafts, especially next year when we're likely to et Tyler Welsh
